Have visited on 3 occasions, most recently this spring
Fairly consistent on all visits
Whilst set in the Sony Centre, so no historical appeal or architecture involved, it is a very differnt brew pub in the sense of the Sony Centres modern feel and I do enjoy the modern architecture and sitting outside in the beer garden (which isn't really outside of course!)
I've eaten here once, in the form of the farmers platter, which was good (cheese, meat, bread etc)
A fairly touristy crowd here, not many locals
Beers have all been OK - not setting the world alight, but good enough
I've had the beer paddle/bat a few times
This is a sample of 8 house beers in 0.3L format
Be warned - they are designed for sharing as you only get 4 different beers, duplicated !
Good for a stag night I guess!
Worth a vist!

Located in Sony Center, it's has it's own selection of beers. They're brewed in the bar. The beers are awesome, specially the Hefe-Weizen (Wheat). They're not very expensive, taking into account the location of the bar/restaurant (4 € more or less 1/2 liter and 7€ 1liter). The local is quite crowded almost at any time but it has 3 stocks so you can find place quite easily. The bartenders are always very busy, so they're quite slow.
Overall, a must-go in Berlin.

I went here with my family on Christmas Day, and I was surprised by how good it was. It's in such a heavily trafficked location that they wouldn't really need to be good to stay in business, but it delivered with tasty renditions of German classics and better-than-decent beer.
We tried the goulash and two different kinds of schnitzel, as well as the radish appetizer, and enjoyed everything. I thought the knödeln were especially tasty. They only brew a Weiss on premise, but will mix it with ginger, strawberry, banana, whatever you want, and they supplement with a few beers from Traunstein, including a Zwickl, a Dunkel, and a Pils. The ubiquitous Berliner Weisse mit Schuss is also available.
We tried the Zwickl, the Radler (a Zwickl with Lemonade), and the Dunkel, and liked all of them. We didn't ask the staff much about the beer, but they were willing to speak German with me, so points for that. It's a bit pricey for Berlin, but perfectly reasonable for this location, and the vibe is touristy, a bit hurried, but again, what you'd expect for the location. Worth it if you're in the area and looking for a good meal.

Surprisingly good beer for touristy location. The Sony Center is like a cross between Times Square and a suburban mall. The Lindenbrau is on three or four levels, all with a view of the shiny brewtanks and the main sony center courtyard. In the center of it all there is a fountain and a large video screen that showed nature scenes during our visit. The ambient music is of the "cat sleeping on synthesizer" genre.
But onto the beer: the Pils was very light and dry. The Zwickel was a little sweeter, but also quite Pilsy. Both were perfectly fine. The Dunkel was also good with a little dark roast and caramel (almost burnt caramel) coming through.
The Hefe (the only beer they brew here) was solid (better than fine).
We did eat here and the lamb shank (Lammsteltze) was also surprisingly good with a nice dark beer? sauce and there were fresh herbs on the green beans and potatoes. Our other dish was the weissewurst which was fine (It's pretty hard to mess up boiled sausages). Perhaps I had overly low expectations, but this place was a pleasant surprise. Its near Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie and some remaining portions of the wall, so most tourists will probably be coming by here anyway. No reason not to stop for a fresh beer.

Great location, if heavily travelled, in the Sony Centre on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.
Attractive interior with your standard brewpub regalia, the patio and balcony upstairs are the places to be though for some good people watching.
Prime of place in the menu given to their dozen or so Weisse beer mixes which is kind of depressing. Other than those, the Hefeweizen, the only one brewed on site as others have stated, a Dunkels and a couple Pilsners are the extent of the beer menu. Hefeweizen is tasty, but rather light I thought, not too complex. Enjoyed the Dunkels a bit more. No real complaint about the beer though. 3.70 a half litre.
Standard German fare, lots of pork cooked a hundred different ways. Great portions. I had the Brauhaus Stellar which had pork chops, two sausages and fried liver served with a beer sauce, tasty sauercraut and a big potato dumpling. Cost me a ten'er.
Service was good. Attentive and they didn't correct us on our German or switch to English.
I'd eat there again, but more for the food than the beer.

As stated above, this place is in the middle of the Sony Center, which means they get a lot of traffic, i am sure. beautiful brewing sculpture with a silver kettle, if I remember right. The brewing equipment is located in the center, wrapped around a spiral staircase. Beer cellar is actually located on the third floor. Brewmaster is a nice older guy.
The beer was good, but the only one brewed on premise is the Weizen, which is a shame.
Food was good but a bit pricey. That is to be expected, though. It is prime Tourist location.
Service was good and friendly, nothing to get excited over.

Three levels, brewing kit is the centre piece of each level, as it rises up through this new build brewpub. This area of Berlin is all new since the wall fell in 1989, I can remember Potsdamer Platz being a wasteland.
All glass and coppers, this is what the new Berlin is all about, I really prefered the old Berlin. I don't like high stools and high tables, this is full of both on the ground floor.
Service, beer and food was fine, the salads are huge, try one. A brewpub for tourists, but is worth finding and having their beers.

Lindenbrau is located in a busy tourist area. They have seating for probably 300 outdoors, in a sheltered area between buildings. The indoors is not particularly large, but there are 3 floors. Some of the floor space is taken up by the brewing equipment. What appears to be a 7 barrel system is arranged vertically, with the lauter at the top, the kettle somewhat lower, and the other tanks lower still, connected by a circular stairway, all enclosed in glass for easy viewing.
It was hard to get a server's attention, but once we did, service was astonishingly fast. When asked about the beerlist, the server said they had their own "homebrews". The beer tasted like home brew, like it was made from a kit. The hefe weizen was good, but it tasted artifically spicy...too much cinnamon and cloves. The red lager tasted sugary sweet.
The food menu was quite extensive, with pictures of each selection. The food was good, seemed authentic, and came in large servings. I would give them a second chance at the beer, but I would definitly go back for the food.

I spent a semester in Berlin a couple years back and stopped at this place for a hefe whenever I had time to spare or was going out around Potsdamer Platz. The hefe is terrific. I never tried the food here though until I was back in Berlin over the summer. The food is traditional Bavarian fare and also quite good. But I really enjoy their hefe... Selection, as at most places Germany (as compared to the US) is never great. A slight bit pricy given the location, but that said the location is pretty cool and has loads of history behind it. Potsdamer Platz, biggest construction site in the world, or at least it was for a while. Highly recommended.

Note to non-smokers, this place is horribly smoky due to poor ventilation. In the summer, it may be better, but if smoke is something that bothers you it may be best to avoid the place. The waitstaff all spoke perfectly fine english and understood us quite well. I tried their dunkel and my wife had the hefe which were both great. The brewing equipment site prominently in the center of the restaurant with stairs leading to a balcony that overlooks the bottom floor. Other than the smoke, the place was great to visit. Just be sure you go off peak or it will be packed as it's right near an IMAX theater and is a major tourist site.
