This review is based on the current beer laws in Mississippi. Currently our ABW has changed but won't go into effect for a few more weeks.

Jenn's Place is located downtown, close to the Riley Center. It has a Mardi Gras theme to the decor. Nice and welcoming inside.

Our server was very nice, but not the least bit knowledgable about the beer or food offerings.

The beer selection was pretty good for Meridian. I counted over 30 different bottles. Much of it was BMC stuff. There were a few craft selections though and my wife and I were very satisfied with what we could get. They also had a beer list which is unheard of around here.

The food was good. Definitely better than when I first visited Jenn's Place last Fall. I really hope this place takes notice of the new offerings in beer that Mississippi should start getting in July.

Jen's Place is a locally owned restaurant near the downtown area of Meridian and it's not far from the interstate. The restaurant reminds me of New Orleans with the decor and some of the food offerings. I've had their red beans and rice and a really spicy pot roast sandwich that was good. They have live music at night and there is no cover.

For Meridian the selection of beer is pretty good. They don't have any taps, just bottles. I've seen beers from Rogue, Diamond Bear, Abita, Widmer, Lazy Magnolia, and Flying Dog breweries. Hopefully if the abv law passes their selection will grow.
