What an odd little gem this was. Drunk out of the bottle at a bar deep in East Berlin called "Conmux" -- which in itself is another little gem. 0,33l short brown bottle, with a ceramic flip-top lid. Freshness date on the back.
As this was in the bottle, I couldn't really judge its appearance or smell, so I'll assume it's average for the style.
Flavours consisted of a thin sweetness, slick/oily hop bitterness that lent a cheesey, grassy and skunky edged character. Quite bitter all around with notes of salt and mineral, both in body and flavour.
A very unusual, and at first, odd beer ... but the stuff grows on you.

330ml bottle 4,8% Abv.
Served chilled in an over sized wine glass.
Best before: 10/05/2013
Consumed sometime in November and reviewed from notes.
Appearance: The appearance is fairly typical for a pilsner - a clear, pale golden body topped by a large white head. The head lasts quite well and leaves some nice lacing as it recedes.
Smell: The nose is quite simple, but clean and quite pleasant. Notes include: Pale grain, a light lemony note, some grass and a little sweetness.
Taste: As with the nose, the flavour is simple yet clean. The finish displays a solid bitterness and is lightly dry. Flavour notes include: Pale grainy malt, grassy hops and a hint of honey sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, with a medium-high level of carbonation.
Overall: Flensburger Pilsener is a nothing mind blowing, but it is clean and refreshing and perfect for a hot summers day.

Dense foam dissipates fairly quick. It smells grassy hops and malt secondarly. Medium carbonation with tiny bubbles. Pilsener true to its kind. Bitter taste well balanced. Not so dry finish enhances drinkability. Overall a good beer, reliable but with no thrills.

Flensburger Pilsener has a thin, white head and a hazy, yellow appearance, with some lacing, streaming bubbles, and little brown flecks floating about. The aroma is of sweet, cracker, barley malt, and the taste is similar with some paper and a nice, fairly strong hop bitterness in the middle-to-end of the sip. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Flensburger Pilsener finishes crisp, clean, easy drinking, and mostly dry. Overall, this is really nice.

A: The beer is crystal clear light straw yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: There are light to moderately strong aromas of grassy hops as well as bready and grainy malts in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and is dominated by grassy and grainy flavors and is accompanied by a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation and a good amount of dryness.
O: The dryness in this pilsner makes it quite refreshing and really cleanses your palate.
