Brewed for the co op in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. This bottle was bought in the SKY shop, Burg auf Fehmarn.
The colour is gold; the white head is finger thick and uneven. The liquid is clear and there is some lacing.
The smell is intensive malty with some notes of leaven/dough and some mild and clean bitterness. To me, this is a very northern Germany flavour.
A malty matured flavour dominates the taste. There are some notes of caramel, minerals, bread and sweet notes of light syrup. The aftertaste got even more of those malty flavours as well as a balancing, passing mild clean bitterness. The finish is a bit sweet.
The carbonation is mild. For a lager, it is extremely mild as it should be in a Landbier. There are some very fresh medium sized bubbles. The liquid is creamy.
This is a very malty and clean lager with a mild carbonation, which I really enjoyed.
