Keg was made for a tap takeover @ jack astors in Buffalo, NY
The beer is normally dry hopped with zythos & centennial hops, but this single keg was (re-)dry hopped for an additional 3 day @ 68 degrees using centennial hops.
The beer pours a slightly cloudy straw yellow with a thin healing white head. After waiting a good ten minutes for the beer to warm up from being served near frosty, it transitioned from being mildly hoppy & malt forward APA to a modest floral & citrus fruit bomb complimented by a strong grain sweetness. I had hoped for a bigger aromatic hop presence, but it's already dry hopped to begin with. The flavor presents with a modest grain sweetness upfront that changes quickly into a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. I love the mouthfeel on this beer because it's so hoppy for a pale, but is also a watered down & drinkable beer. This beer offers little more compared to the regular Frank, but is a slight step up...I got another pint before leaving.
Serving type: on-tap
