On tap @ Julian's Tyler TX from a Palm Belge Tulip / Snifter. Beer is a hazy translucent orange with tiny bubbles and decent lace. It's hard to be objective about a beer I know has won a recent gold at this year's GABF but this beer is all about mouthfeel and finish. Mouthfeel like an ever so cozy comforter on a snowy full moon night - it's something to savor and be soothed in it's warmth. The hops are clean and lingering. They make you pause and contemplate before your next sip. This could be an everyday go to beer. Not one that's gonna floor you after 2 pints or slap you in the face with a Cascade only maltless hop bomb...not that I don't love maltless hop bombs - I just can't drink them every day. Special thanks to Jerod for being the first to drive all over Texas to bring the best to Tyler.

A: From my Craft and Growler 16oz growler, it pours about a half-finger of head in my Peticolas pint glass. Color is golden-brown, and lacing is slight and uneven.
S: A bitter hop profile is immediately present on the nose, and there's a hint of nutmeg in conjunction with a clean malt base. It's a really warm and inviting aroma.
T: The flavor is much more bitter, but it cascades into earthy malt undertones with a smooth, dry finish. The alcohol is slightly present, too, which pairs nicely with the bitter-forward flavor. We have a throw-back here to a more English pub-inspired brew.
M: Slightly carbonated and medium-bodied, this brew is great on a warm spring or summer afternoon in sunny Texas.
O: Michael Peticolas is a stand-up dude, and this beer lives up to his name. It's a great addition to his English-inspired line-up of great local beer.

on tap at the Flying Saucer in addison, tx. i think this beer lives up to its billing. distinctly fruitier hop aromas emanated from this copper colored brew with some caramel malts filling out the nose. medium bodied, and a pleasant balance between malt sweetness and bitterness. a great local alternative to bass, and a steal on the $3 texas beer night each sunday.

On tap at the Big Texas Beer Fest.
The beer pours a hazy golden color with a medium-sized white head. The aroma is pretty hoppy, with a nice mix of English and American hops. I get some nice earth and grass notes, as well as some orange citrus. There is also a little bit of biscuit malt in the aroma. The flavor is more of the same, with the earth and grass hops flavors, as well as a little bit of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
