Poured from a 22 oz. Bottle into my Bell's pint glass.
Deep brown in color. Thick tan head with staying power.
Smells nutty with caramel and biscuit. In that order
Tastes nutty and chocolatey. Super smooth drinker. Some late bitterness balances this one out, but the chocolate shines through.
Mouthfeel is smooth and deep.
Overall a very good offering from relic. English dark mild is not a style familiar to me, but I'm very impressed with this one.

Pour is a murky muddy brown, with hints of amber. 2 fingers of fluffy off white head, lingering forever. Minimal lacing.
Nose is largely sour yeast and bread. Not hugely potent. Some banana as well.
Taste is fairly malt predominant, with a decent salty caramel flavor. Follows by a powerful, but not complex, yeasty breadiness. Minimal hops noted. Some sour cherry sharpness on the finish.
Feel is spot on medium body.
Decent and different beer. Not exactly what I was expecting, as the yeastiness is more that I would expect for this style. But adds a nice character. Glad to have tried, not gonna get again though.

A : pours a murky light brown with a huge thick light tan head. Oddly enough with this huge head there is no lacing at all. The foam seems to not touch the glass at all.
S : heavy aromas of nutty bread and sweet malts. A hint of caramel aromas with slight alcohol. Nice
T : starts with a watery bit of bready malt, then a bit of sour flavor. Some nut and yeast mixed in. The slightest hint of caramel. Aftertaste stays a bit sour. Not off putting but could turn worse in an older bottle.
M : light bodied, low carbonation.
Great aroma, decent flavor but with yeasty sourness. A pretty good beer, but nothing I would spend $7 a bomber on again.

Cloudy, brown liquid with huge off-white head. Fades to skim.
Aroma is "mild" but there is definitely some faint nutty caramel in there.
Taste is full of subdued caramel, maybe some assorted nuts and a hint of dark fruit. Soft mouthfeel. Very laid back hops, if any. However, there is an ever so slight bitterness at the end. Not a very forward beer, but that's the idea. Cannot be drunk ice cold or subtleness will be obliterated.
Totally sessionable!

Served on-tap at Relic Brewing in Plainville, Conn.
A: Medium, mahogany color with a thin head of tan foam. Decent carbonation leaves wisps of foam and lacing.
S: Mild, roasted malts and a slightly chalky, nutty aroma. Hints of herbal hops and chocolate blend to form a sweet scent.
T: Very pale, nutty, sweet malts up front with a slow-growing herbal and earthy hop essence. Lightly roasted chocolate and coffee notes permeate with a slightly buttery, toffee-like finish that carries very low bitterness with it.
M: Light-medium bodied and very drinkable. The low ABV and light, sweet, nutty malts keep things flowing very smoothly.
O: A nice, malt-forward English dark mild session ale at 4% ABV that one could pound down in these transitional days between cold spring nights and mild, sunny days. A fair amount of character squeezed into a relatively small package.
