Formerly Raynham Discount, this new location is much bigger, brighter, easier to shop, and better stocked. They have a wine tasting gizmo that they rave about, but this is about beer. The owner's son Michael is in charge of craft beer, and has quickly built up a very good selection. He lacks some experience, but is making up for it by taking requests, and listening, and stocking. While no Julio's or Marty's, there is more than enough variety of beer for any craft beer lover. Finally, Raynham has craft beer!

This place was pretty good when they first opened, but they are slowly slipping into mediocrity. Big store, brightly lit, clean. initially, great selection. Their selection has been dwindling steadily. They gave an aisle over to minimal home brew supplies just thrown on the shelves, and half an aisle over to ciders. Cooler is stocked with same stuff as the shelves for the most part. Used to have a tremendous variety of domestic craft, but less and less each visit. I have done a couple of tastings and they are well organized and run nicely. Was excited when they first opened, but I feel that they are really losing ground.

First beer dude I talked with knew all sorts of stuff, made some solid recommendations. Last couple of times, staff really sent me in the wrong direction. Couldn't find a release date for a couple of beers I knew they had coming in by their news letter, suggested beers they did not have in stock.

Maybe they are just stocking what sells these days, but I wonder if because of the tastings they are susceptible to hoarders. However, the place is showing some other disturbing signs. Shelves are disorderly, there is clutter on the floor, staff ignores you. This happens in this area. Get off to a good start, then slippin' into darkness.
