Pours a nice fluffy almost 2 finger head that fades fairly slowly, nice lacing, hazy tangerine orange color lots of bubbles rising up.

Nose has a big candy malt base, caramel, toffee, sweet amber reddish malts, light bready yeasty, sweet syrupy, light citrus hops, little spicy earthy hops, quite fruity and a big spicy hop bitterness waiting for me.

Taste starts with more malts, sweet candy malts, caramel, toffee, bready malts and bready yeast that gets a little off flavor tasting and unhappy yeast that I can't label, maybe too hot in fermentation, or possibly the early onset of infection. Then hops, quite bitter as it ramps, light citrus, quite spicy and earthy, some pine, chewy hops even, light candy hops too. Finish is still fairly sweet but drier, a lingering long bitterness and earthy spicy hops, and an anesthetized hot booze lingering, and just a touch of that unhappy yeast or possible infection offset.

Mouth is med to fuller bodied, some warming semi hot booze late, good carb.

Overall interesting, but not great, decent hops that don't really excite. Malts are nice balance to the heat and big bitter earthy spicy hops, but also either bad yeast or possible infection.

Dome formed head after settling. Leaves good ring lace after each sip. The liquid is golden amber and cloudy.

Strong floral hop (like evergreens) aroma. Good pale malt background with a touch of sweetness.

The flavor is borderline extreme--the hop is nearly overwhelming. Creamy pale malt start but the hop takes over quickly and completely. The swallow and aftertaste is like white pepper, but hop flavor while in the mouth is like grapefruit. Full bodied with good carbonation.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a nice sized fluffy white head with moderate retention and lace. Smells of hops and caramel, no shit huh! citrus, pine, resin, bread and caramel are all represented in the nose. The flavor has a malty start with lots of bread and caramel with a hint of anise. The hops are definitely present and provide a smooth bitterness and nice hop flavor. Citrusy grapefruit provide most of the flavor with a nice resin batting cleanup. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. I'd never heard of this brewery before I spotted it in a store far from home. I'm glad I took a chance at this one, its a really nice old school feeling IPA.

A- This one is a nice looking golden orange with good head rentention and moderately visible carbonation.

S- Fairly hoppy with a clean, herbal, earthy smell. A little spicy, a little citrusy.

T- Very dry for an imperial ipa. It is slight citrusy, a little bit sweet, a little pine, grass and pepper.

M- Slightly more carbonated than ideal. This does intensify the flavors, however.

O= I was impressed by this beer and would like to try it again sometime.

New offering from yet another new local brewer. No biggie- if you have some brewing talent, keep 'em coming, New Englanders!

Great look to this brew. Exactly how I like to see my DIPAs- orangy-yellow, hazy, with a touch of a regenerating head. Roughly the color of hop pollen, which is perfection.

The aroma is a bit muted, but nicely fruity and clean.

The taste is quite clean and bitter. This is a really nice, dry, hoppy brew. It's going to take me two or three or these to really tease out all of the flavors. Grapefruit is dominant, and with little malty sweetness to ease the grapefruit bitterness up, it's a little harsh but still quite enjoyable.

Mouthfeel is really the only mild failing with this brew. It's pretty thin and lacks the depth you might expect from a brew that looks so dense and hazy. The bitter film left on my tongue after every sip is nice, however.

This brew is certainly worth seeking out. It's certainly a specialist, and as I belch up hop rhizomes, you can guess what the specialty is. A little sweetness and body and we'd have an all-around world-class brew here.

bomber poured into a Duvel tulip.

A - a vigorous pour yields a deep amber, slightly cloudy body, with 2 fingers of off-white head with very fine bubbles. leaves a massive amount of lacing.

S - grapefruit with traces of mango, pineapple... little bit of pine as well. also a very nice amount of malt comes through in the nose.

T - damn. really, really great. some caramel malt flavors that manage to come through without being too heavy, unlike a ton of east coast DIPAs these days... but the hops are really what shine. enormous amounts of wonderful hop flavor. more toward the citrus in the flavor here without any tropical notes, some pine and ashiness on the finish. i am thoroughly impressed.

M - not too heavy, fantastic carbonation. drinkability at 7.7% and 92 IBUs is really, really high.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a tulip.

A: pours a nice hazy orange amber with a little less then two fingers of slightly amber ish head that has excellent retention, small carbonation bubbles can be seen working there way up the sides of the glass, nice lacing.... Good looking brew.

S: nice cirtusy hops right up front, grapefruit with a touch of pinneapple/mango.... Some nice lightly resinous pine notes in there as well.

T: much like the nose, citrus hops up front that get a bit piney and resinous on the finish, a touch of caramel in there as well, just enough to tie the whole thing together, very well balanced with delicious hop flavor.

M: nice medium body with a slightly creamy carbonation, and it is dry.... Not to sweet like some dipa tend to be.... This one is very nicley on the dry side. A lightly bitter finish with a touch of mouth coating resin...

O: this is an excellent ipa, dry bodied with pleanty of delicious hop flavor... I was very impressed with this one, keep em coming brew master jack.... For your first ipa you did a damn good job.
