Appearance: Light in color, nearly blonde. Head is apx. one and 1/2 fingers thick.

Aroma: Softly floral, not overwhelming. Slightly malty with a hint of a biscuit note.

Taste: Crisp, and clean, with a slight citrus after.

Serving type: bottle

Notes: A good local brewed beer, nice to have in the summer.

Appearance: Well it's more towards the amber side rather than the red side. The head is around one finger thick.

Aroma: Light toffee in the nose, malts are more towards the bready end with a light buttery biscuit note. Hops are on the floral end with wisps of citrus.

Taste: Crispy up front, doughy, toffee bits, floral hops with a bit of dryness. Vey small twinges of citrus towards the back.

Notes: It's drinkable, tasty and not too bad and even a slight dry finish. Cheers.

Appearance - Pours a beautiful deep copper. No haze. Head is one finger thick, dissipates fairly quickly.

Smell - Very mild noble hop aroma with some fruit characteristics.

Taste -Whoa! Not what I was expecting. Pleasant but not overpowering malt flavor up front. Very minimal hop characteristics. Finishes with a bite similar to an Octoberfest style.

Mouthfeel - Easy to drink. I’m digging the “sessionability” of it. Carbonation magnifies the flavor but is just short of being too much. Goes down smooth.

This beer has been popping up all over Northampton, and for good reason. I’ve heard it described as a “mocktoberfest,” and I’d say that’s accurate. It has good balance and is eminently drinkable – not too heavy but not too light either, with plenty of body and flavor and a significant but enjoyable amount of carbonation.

The good news about the current beer boom is that there's no shortage of beer. The bad news is that there's no shortage of swill, either. However, I'll endure my share of crap if every now and then I get to stumble on a great bottle like this. Buoyant and optimistic; aroma and taste of lemons and pears; bubbles, bubbles, who's got the bubbles? They're everywhere, and combined with the low ABV and the malty stiffener this makes for a great summer beer. Where's my lawnmower? Worth a stealth visit to Mitt Romney territory (that is, Belmont, MA) to get a bottle.
