This poured out as a cola brown color with a thin fizzy tan head on top. There is no lacing or retention. The smell of the beer is of bread, molasses and a bit of honey. The taste has a lot of the same elements as the nose with the additional raisin flavors. The mouthfeel is much like a soda. Overall it's a decent Kvass.

Poured from 1.5 liter plastic bottle into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: dark brown with a little bit of haze and a quickly-dissipating head. Nice color; pretty average for the style.

Smell: good bready aroma; dark and sweet with a little bit of raisin and yeast character. Quite nice.

Taste: very bready with a caramel sweetness and a hint of molasses. Raisin and yeast aren't as prominent as in the aroma, but they are still there. I like it.

Mouthfeel: light body with a moderate fizziness. Refreshing enough.

Overall: I like this kvass. It's got a very bready and natural character to it; good stuff.
