on tap at the brewery
Pours a clouded golden color with a thick crop of white head. Retains nicely with patchy rings of film on the glass.
Fragrant galaxy hops in the nose with citrus peel. Hints of salt and light funk with yeast and biscuit malts. Faint fruit sweetness with hoppy spice.
Nice peppery hoppiness up front with a hint of salt. Citrus peel, oranges and zest followed by light biscuit malts. A pleasant rush of funky yeast, galaxy hops and salt spice through on the back end. Finishes a little hoppy and dry.
Lighter medium body, well carbonated, a little creamy and smooth on the tongue. Such a wonderfully interesting beer with a great combination of flavors.

Growler thanks to Moll. Nose has tropical fruit along with a good dose of wheat. Flavor has nice citrus and tropical fruit notes with background wheat. Light and crisp. Very easy drinking. This made for a nice hotel room beer on vacation. Hope Jean makes this one again.

Thanks to Pnell316 for sending this out to me. A weird interest in Goses for me. Head is pure white and maybe a finger tall which quickly falls to a trace. Body is slightly cloudy and a light straw yellow with a hint of orange. Aroma is great citrus of lime, orange, and grapefruit. Hint of some pine. Flavor is a little flat for me. Some harsh hops kills the citrus. Getting a lot of dirty pine. Only a little bit of salt, but really tiny. Mouth is pretty good on carbonation, but body is a little light.
Overall an ok beer. Maybe it was the travel here, but not a whole lot to raise this beer up.

A- Thin sticky white head atop a clear golden body.
S- Sweet grassy hops, wheat, fresh cut grass, lemon/citrus aroma.
T- Nice hop presence all the way through, grass and citrus come through a lot as well. I do taste a slight mineral/salt presence apparent in the gose style.
M- Crisp and refreshing, slightly dry.
O- Very good, very drinkable.

First had: on tap at the brewpub
A gose hopped with Galaxy.
Half-pour, a pale straw-yellow liquid, clearish, with a small white head that receded to a ringlet, leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma was fairly light, biscuity with hints of citrus. Similar taste, biscuity pale malts, lemony and crisp, but fell a bit short of what may be expected from a gose in general. Drank more like a light IPA or timid saison. It wasn't bad, but just not a fair example of the style, I thought. It's not a common style these days, so credit goes to the brewers for taking a crack at it. Light body, crisp, and still an enjoyable drink.
*At a second tasting of this beer a week later, it seemed somehow considerably more fruity in taste, with notes of pear and mango that I didn't get the first time. Hmm.

This beer poured out as a hazy looking golden yellow color with a very nice looking white head on top. The retention was low but the lacing was really impressive. The smell of the beer was loaded up with the lemony hop aromas and possible coriander that was used as well. The taste of the beer was hoppy to say the least... more hoppy than other beers I've had of this style. There may have been a very minimal amount of salt or mineral flavors in there but the hops dominated the beer with citrus flavors. The mouthfeel was smooth and very refreshing. Overall I think it's a good beer, I am glad I got to try this one because of the rarity of the style. It's something I would drink again but probably wouldn't classify it as a Gose.

On tap at Tired Hands.
Pours pale gold, lightly hazed, with a big white head that has strong retention. Patchy lacing sticking to the glass. Faintly tart lemony aroma, some other citrusy hop notes, light yeast esters, a touch of biscuity malt, overall a very mild nose.
Flavor has lemon and grapefruit citrus, passion fruit, a suggestion of soapiness to the hops, and a hint of salt in the finish. Modest fruity esters from the yeast just poking out here and there. Mostly dry. A bit bland overall; one server suggested they simply didn't bring the saltiness out enough and that they weren't entirely satisfied with the results here.
Smoothly carbonated, light bodied, easy drinking. A bit unexciting I'd say. Not bad but certainly not these guys' best work to date.

On Tap at The Brew Cafe in Ardmore, PA.
GHOST pours out a lighter shade of yellow with a hazy golden sunshine look to itself, hazier than most TH beers I've seen. A nice whisp of bright white foam up top, that did not stick to the glass as well as the creature, no biggie. Smell is bright with hops coming from the galaxy. I get some spicy notes with some strangeness from the salt. Some mild fruity appeal, passion fruit, and pale malt. Not as salty as say a Leipzinger, but the galaxy hops used are forefront with a minimal malty backing. I get some lemon in the middle with some spicy notes Feel is a step up from light bodied with active carb going for it. This is one to drink a lot of with some funky cheeses.
