On tap at the Brewpub.
Hazy amber beer with a nice cap of white foam that settles slowly. Strong lacing on the glass. Aroma is strongly yeasty and has a Belgian style aroma with banana, clove, and peppery phenols.
Flavor is on the sweet side; lots of banana and clove yeasty esters. Nice bready maltiness. Finishes relatively dry for a sweeter beer.
Extremely smooth mouthfeel, very rounded, with moderate carbonation and a somewhat full body.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured a darker amber color with a small cap of white head. Basic aroma, toasted grains, caramel, a bit of yeast and indistinct spice. Flavor is similar to the nose, toasted bread and grains, mild caramel malts, earthy hops, yeasty spice and a dash of pepper, light grassiness. Light-medium body, and fairly drinkable. Decent, but not among this breweries better offerings.

On tap at Tired Hands. Pours a moderately-dark brown color with a rusty orange hue to it. The nose carries nice notes of earth and slight bread along with some spice and pepper in the background. A touch of American hops as well. Flavor has a nice malt base with some pepper notes and a delicate earthiness. Mild citrus. Body is medium with good carbonation and a semi-dry finish. Not my absolute favorite of the saisons, but still quite good.

Pours a copper tinted amber, hazy like the the last pour of a bottle conditioned brew, little head. Uninspired scent, light carmel sweetness, some damp grain, yeasty. Taste improves a bit, light caramel sweetness, peppery spice, some damp dried grain, earthy and grassy, faint fruit. Medium bodied, some light chunkyness, dry. Excited to try the brewer, but something just seemed off here.

On draft at Tired Hands; a "calico Saison".
Pours an dark amber, with an off white, retentive head. Nose and flavor have distinct house Saison yeast flavor, with a stronger malt, slightly sweet and bready, presence and a dry finish. Medium thick, soft body, well carnonated. Lost my notes from this sample. Will revisit.
