Notes:
This beer is retired; no longer brewed.
This German-style Pilsner is fermenter with a classic German lager yeast. Although light in color, it is a medium-bodied beer. German Hallertauer Tradition hops provide a subtle and unique hop aroma.

A light grain aroma w/ just a hint of DMS. Good light golden color. Clean white head, but didn't last long. Clean and crisp taste with a dry finish. Balanced hop bitterness. THe notes indicated the use of Hersbrucker hops, but that was most likely for aroma. Was very light for my taste and seemed a little thin overall.

Appearance: clear pale yellow in color with a wispy head that falls apart immediately. No lacing develops.
Smell: mild grass and other grains are all that is detectable.
Taste: mild grainy malt base, with some grassy tones and a barely noticaeble bitterness. Very dull and boring inthe flavor department.
Mouthfeel: crisp from start to finish. Clean aftertaste. Light in body.
Drinkability: easy to drink but such a dull flavor profile, you probably won't want more than a pint.

Though not bad, I actually prefered the light beer better (never thought I'd say that). A typical medium straw color with slightly better than average retention and lacing. The beer, though malty, ended up more grainy than I prefered. Spiced with earthy / grassy hops just seemed a bit out of balance. The beer had a bite-ey astringency that I couldn't get over. The beer just seemed a bit muddy and never gave me the crisp, refreshing qualities that I like in Pilsners.

Clear straw color, average size head but it was nice and silky unlike your average domestic. Typical sweet lagery smell of pilsners. The taste was of sweet pale pilsner malt, but a bit drier, probably from using a bit more hops that had a little more resin-like qualities, but I wouldn't say the hops are a standout quality of this beer, they just mix together well with the malt. Very silky mouthfeel that I liked very much, and this is a quite drinkable pilsner, but you may get board after a couple and go for something with a little more flavor.

Had this one on tap from the brewpub in Nashville last night. Part of a sampler. Pours a standard yellow color with little head and no lacing. Very clear/clean. Aroma had a slight hop to it. I think they said it was Hallertauer. The flavor is nice and crisp. Clean. Finish is quite bitter, but still pretty smooth. Good for a pilsner.
