On tap at Liberty Station in Houston.
A: Pours a clear, but dull golden/orange color. A one finger white head head forms, and recedes to a ring. Light lace.
S: Bitter hops. Pine, citrus, lightly resinous. Some caramel malt for balance. Then lingering bitterness again.
T: Follows the nose and fairly simple. Bitter pine notes, some citrus hops. Caramel malt in the background. Finishes with long bitterness.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. Lightly resinous, and just a little watery. The alcohol is very noticeable. A slow sipper, and I am really not that interested to come back to this.
Slightly above average. Just like everything else I have had from Buffalo Bayou, it is not bad just not something I would come back to to often.

poured from the bomber into a tulip.
A - right off the bat something is missing. pretty much no head on the pour what-so-ever. zero retention on what is there, lacing of the glass barely exists. The liquid is a pretty dark, honey colored yellow, but that's about the only thing it's got going for it.
S - the only smell i get off this is bittering hops. no individual notes associated with different hops that may or may not have been used... just a mess of "bitter". Certainly not what I would expect for a DIPA.
T - The bittering hops are there and again are a mess, but the malts dominate. Again, not what I would expect for a DIPA. I get some caramels, and a sticky-sweetness as my dominate notes.
M - Undercarbonated, sticky, not quite cloying, but almost there.
O - This is kind of a messy effort. I think the beer would probably actually benefit from some cellaring, this would give it time to carbonate, the stickiness could dissipate, and the bittering hops would balance a little betters - however this would probably cause the little nose that's there to disappear. Rassoul and the guys are great and i will continue to try all their unique products, but this one was a miss.

Was excited to pick this one up at Growlers Montrose. Brought it home and chilled it overnight in the fridge. Poured in to a tulip glass with little fanfare from the carbonation, barely a thin head was produced. The initial aroma is citrus and reminds me of a barleywine. The first taste backs it up. This tastes unfinished and more like a barelywine than a DIPA. If you have ever had an old Rodeo Clown you would have a good idea of what this resembles.
Very disappointed in this one.
