Usually a fan of Amber ales but I was kind of underwhelmed, especially after the St. Drogo, the Dunkel and the E.S.B from here. The color was on par for an amber, brick red with a decent 0.5" head (6 oz pour). The beer smelled mildly hoppy and earthy with hints of caramel. The taste was a little sweet with some flavor. I was underwhelmed by the taste but it is still a decent beer. I did find the feel to go down not as smooth as the others I had tried but still fairly smooth

Poured into a Nonic pint from my freshly cleaned kegorator lines and freshly tapped, properly maintained 1/6 bbl.
A: 2" tight white head that leave a little lacing and the head compacts to a thin disk. Medium orangey copper hue.
S: Mild earthy, lightly medicinal, herbal hops. It is like what an English IPA would be with a bit of caramel malt bill. Pleasant.
T: Again, gentle notes nuance the palate. Herbal and earthy like the nose, mild smooth malty, light toasted backbone. Nothing overwhelming and I like the change of pace. Oh...couple seconds after swallowing a light acidity creeps in and goes away that quickly. Some tea-like final quaff notes.
M: medium to medium-lite bodied. Spritely. Smooth at finish lightly drying.
O: I think my kegorator's carbonation, temp, etc. levels improve the head and mouthfeel. Served at lower temps, at higher carbo or gosh, a firkin, it might be really boring. It is not for everyone, IMO. And that's OK. All Saints is alright for sessionable well constructed English styles with a bit more ABV, and this is no exception.

Brick hue/dark red-amber. Paltry head that meant nothing after it was over.
Red malt with steeped grain notes and light prune fruitiness. Mild toastiness that lacks defining character. Hops are few and stuffy, if much of anything. Slightly herbal.
Stocky malts dominate with some leftover spice and estery ale dark fruit. Still stuffy. Very generic and lowly-hopped. Mostly malty, with a kiss of earthiness.
Round body. Light carbonation with not much more than a smattering of bubbles in the finish. Wet. Somewhat sticky with wort sugars.
Hardly, middle-of-the-road. Totally underwhelming.

Pours a deep reddish to orange-ish color with a white head. In the aroma, a small malty caramel sweetness. In the taste, a sweeter malt, almost tea like. A small bite, but mainly smooth with a medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dryer light caramel malt in the aftertaste. Kind of a basic red ale.

Draught @ brewery: Had a pint at the brewery and took a growler home. This one pours a fairly clear amber color. There was about a finger or so of an off-white head that didn’t linger long but left some lacing. Decent aroma. Mainly caramel malts, with some hints of earthy and floral hops. The taste is very good. Caramel malts, but no sweetness. Really well balanced with the hops. A bit of earthiness, some faint fruits. Nice mouthfeel. A very solid beer.
