Batch #66

Dark brownish black into a tulip glass, nice reverse cascade effect as the head settles. Soft halo of lacing and spotty bits that cling to the sides of the glass.

Coffee aroma is dominant, though mellow. Mild roasted beans and dark toast.

Creamy and smooth feel with well-intertwined rich flavors of silky chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Light coffee bitterness in the aftertaste. Sticky on the lips, though the coffee overrides the minimal chocolate/vanilla sweetness. Overall very nicely put together, it's pretty seamless and a tasty beer.

8oz Tired Hands fluted glass (consumed with friends at brewpub in Ardmore, PA)

A: Dark black. Creamy light tan head. Some alcohol feet. Not a lot of lacing. Good carb.

S: Definitely getting that coffee. More coffee grounds. Some soft vanilla. Really subdued. Chocolate, like bakers dark chocolate.

T: Sharp coffee up front. Vanilla sweetness for sure. Sweet roasted malts. Long finish.

M: Full bodied. Creamy.
