I was ecstatic when this place first opened in Starkville. 30+ taps and with the majority of them being a craft beer. Great out look for this guy. Then came the college town syndrome. I have given this bar multiple chances, but there are a few glaring things that I cannot look past.

- Once a certain time of the evening hits, do not expect your beer to be served to you in a glass. I have been told that they get stolen, or drunk college kids break them. Well that is just a part of your business and a part of being a business in a college town.

- When we told an owner that the toilet paper is out in the bathroom, we were told where to find it to restock it.

- One time we arrived 10 minutes before the kitchen closes and instead of making a sale, it wasn't their problem.

Bad attitude and service is why I find it really hard to recommend this place to anyone. I point them to a place with a better atmosphere and better customer service with less craft beer selections. It is sad because this place could boom, and really needs to look at who their target audience is.

The Halfway House in Starkville, named because of its location between to bar districts in Starkville, and because its a spoof (those who are offended need to really learn to stop taking life so seriously).

Best beer selection in Starkville prior to the 10% ABV change in Mississippi. Owners are already thinking of expansion (I heard 70-100 taps). They cruise around 40 taps now. The owners are willing to ask for whatever beer the customers want. If the distributes have it and its requested, they will carry it.

Service is excellent. Its fast for a pub and food is great for a pub. As more beer comes I think other choices will come too, more food, etc.

Great atmosphere!
