Hoyne Brewing's "Wolf Vine" Wet Hopped Pale Ale @ 5.3% , a 650 ml bottle , served cold from the fridge a day after I bought it for $6.50
A-pours a lovely amber , small off white head with minimal lacing along the stein
S-citrus-grapefruit , pineapple , some floral , hints of pine
T-sweet caramel start , what follows is a pale ale with a bitterness that is actually missing , amazing what "wet hopped " does
MF-low carbonation , medium/full body
Ov-my first "wet hopped" beer and I'm pleasantly surprised , I'll be looking for this beer again , next fall perhaps

Appearance. Pours a clear, almost glowing amber with a finger of off white head, average retention.

Smell. Nice floral hops, some toasted caramel malts, pineapple, pine, citrus fruits and peaches. A little alcohol.

Taste. Lightly sweet caramel malts and some nice citrusy floral hops. Starts sweet, ends with a little bitterness. I like that.

Mouthfeel. Below medium body with medium-low carboantion.

Overall. A fine pale ale. More interesting than most, with some nice fresh tasting hops.

Wolf Pine pours a light amber with a nice sense head. The aroma is floral and fruity, with some nice citrusy notes that come out with a swirl. The flavor is a wonderfully balanced pale ale with a nice caramel sweetness that plays perfectly into the fresh, lively citrusy hops. Some fruitiness from the yeast fits in well with the light malt, and there is just enough bitterness in the finish. Drink it while the hops are fresh!
