Notes:
The Majestic Rooster, unafraid to strut his colours. Proud. His voice clear and strong (maybe a bit annoying if you were hoping to sleep in). When he boldly proclaims his dominion, his entire flock listens, or pretends not to listen. Here is to standing proud, admiring your flock, and proclaiming “cock-a-doodle-do!”

Hoyne Brewing "Big Bock" @ 6.5% in a 650 ml bottle served cold , poured into a stein
A-dark amber with a big frothy head and lotsa lacing
S-hint's of sweet berries and a herbal floral hoppyness
T-a sweet malt start and herbal hoppyness finish
MF-"bock - bitter hoppyness can be assertive enough to balance though must not get in the way of malty flavor most are only lightly hopped" - this particular bock is to hoppy for me
Ov-just ok , maybe some extra months lagering will help smooth out such a strong brew
cheers LampertLand

Sampled 4oz @ The Island Beer Fest, Club 919 in Victoria, BC
A: Fruit-coloured redish-gold, almost like a cooler. Big white head, moderate retention with clean, small lacing patterns
S: Raspberry, blackberry, a little malt, but overall sugary with a few mild phenols
T: Slightly hoppy at start, malty and sweet, with berry aftertaste
M: Light and frothy, again like a cooler with malt, more of a fruit beer than a bock
O: Meh. If one likes the style, Swans' Berry Ale is much better IMO. Week body, not much flavour. Very basic, a 'beer for non-beer-drinkers'. Even my sugar-addicted roommate wasn't impressed.

Big bock pours a bright, red amber with an nice head that lingers as a thin layer. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a nice herbal and slightly floral hoppiness. Malt is upfront in the flavor, with an almost perfumy like sweetness. There is a nice, light fruity flavor, almost grape like. The herbal, hops pop up in the finish, with a bit of earthiness and a nice bit. A hint of alcohol lingers, but overall the beer is clean.
