Notes:
And in the beginning, word came forth, “Let there be ale, and let it be the colour of barley in the summer sun, and let it paradoxically both quench and create great thirst.” Who are we to disagree? Sit back, take it easy, enjoy the slow ride.

I agree with the other reviewers in that this could have better though it is a pleasant PA. Considering that Siren's Song PA from Canoe was so great I expected more for Hoyne. Still the hop nose is nice and floral and I did enjoy the smooth finish and nice mouthfeel.

Appearance. Pours a lightly hazy, deep amber-orange with a nice, slightly sticky looking, 2 fingers of off white head.
Smell. Taosty caramel malts and some floral hops with some sweet citrus fruits and a slight metalic smell.
Taste. Caramel and toasted malts, some pine and bitter citrus fruits and rind.
Mouthfeel. Below medium body with medium carbonation.
Overall. Nice west coast pale ale.

Ehhhh....gotta say while the taste is good and it's easily drinkable, I wouldn't call this one a favourite or anything special. It's a decent pale ale with the proper amount of hops you would expect, but it just doesn't strike me as awesome. I wouldn't glowingly recommend this beer but if you really want to give it a try you should, maybe it will tickle your fancy after all.

Hoyne Brewing "Down Easy Pale Ale" @ 5.2% served cold from a 650 ml bottle into a stein
A-poured a copper like color with small head and little lacing
S-hints of citrus and barley
T-a hoppy bitterness is there through out
MF-mild carbonation , very hoppy on my palate
Ov-just to hoppy for me , a summer brew perhaps
cheers LampertLand

Light amber with a thin white head. Malts, biscuits and yeast in the nose. Light, creamy, buttery notes. Citrus-y hops.
Big, biscuity malts. Creaminess, light butter. Noticeable citrus profile to the hops. Not bad, but almost a bit too hoppy. Good carbonation, decent brew but not the best.
