Notes:
Here”s to Daniel Lapp, Oliver Schroer, ELH, and all great fiddlers. Libation and music, like the tumultuous marriage of malt and hops, stand waiting with us at the crossroads. And look: here comes the Devil, whistling past the graveyard, singing in the midnight choir, bottle in one hand, a fiddle in the other, and that crazy smile…

A: Standard light IPA colour, small frothy, white head with heavy lacing and retention
S: Citrusy with moderate hop, faint juniper in back
T: Hop predominant, with some lingering orange and lime, juniper and malt afterwards (differentiates from IPA here)
M: Heavier-than-expected body, fairly smooth
O: Decently refreshing and complex, a nice change from the many hoppy IPAs of the day.

Appearance: Amber, pale-orange. Decent head.
Smell: Very aromatic hops. There are nice citrusy hop notes but also a little bit of onion. I am personally not a big fan of the oniony hops.
Taste: Lots of mango, pine and grapefruit. Again, like the aroma, there is a hint of onion. As the beer warms, the malt is more apparent in sweetness and biscuitiness.
Mouthfeel: Lots of hop bitterness and a solid sweet backbone.
Overall: I'd call this an average IPA for the current scene out here in BC. If this was produced 5 years ago, I'd say this would be one of the best. But unfortunately, so many new IPA's have revolutionized the BC craft beer scene (Driftwood, Central City Red Racer, Lighthouse) that this one, although nice, doesn't entirely stand out from the crowd.

A: Deep bronze with nice white head, good retention, leaves some lace.
S: Fresh, leafy citrus aroma that's predominantly grapefruit rind.
T: Grapefruit and rind is upfront and pleasant, hints of grainy biscuit, decent bitterness.
M: Moderate body is well-attenuated, has a light hop acidity and a nice crisp finish.
O: This is a great drinking, old-school IPA... only a bit stronger than Sierra Nevada's pale ale or Tree's hophead (thought not quite as much hopping as the latter). It doesn't knock your socks off, but I'd be happy to session this regularly.

Nice hop nose and a solid hop presence on the taste. Not a big as some BC IPAs but not a British take like Vancouver Islands Double decker wither. The malt side could have been bigger to balance the beer but all in all a good IPA from a promising new brewer.

Appearance. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a finger of just off-white head.
Smell. Toasted malt, some earthy and piney smelling hops, and a just a little wet dog ...a little bit, not referring to the size or breed of the wet dog that I'm smelling, only the relative quantity of the presence of that specific quality of the overall smell. I don't use stupid metaphors like that...
Taste. Toasty light malts and just a hint of metal. This fades quickly into pretty big piney bitterness with a little citrus rinds that last in the mouth a while. Pretty nice.
Mouthfeel. Lightish body with medium carbonation.
Overall. Nice IPA here. Easy drinking and a nice big bunch o' west coast style hops.

Amber-gold with a big white head. Big citrus-y hops, floral hints. Very crisp and bitter, big hop nose.
Weird, muddled malty taste. Crusty bread, yeast, metallic notes, floral hops with a big citrus profile. The malt profile and the hop profile don't really blend but struggle to be dominate.
Good mouthfeel, but the flavours really are hit-or-miss. Not a bad beer, but it needs some fine tuning.

Hoyne Brewing "Devils Dream IPA" a second offering in 650 ml bottles
A-served cold from the fridge into a stein poured a clear copper that left a little head and some lacing
S-very hoppy , citrus , floral
T-mild pale malt meets a lot of hops and you don't taste the alcohol
MF-really hoppy and bitter after taste dominate mild carbonation , going down ..ok
Ov-an average beer , not great
cheers LampertLand
