I love Merrimac Liquors!
If you live in the area, this place is a life saver!
I asked owner mark to order me something, the next time I came in he had it! You don't get service and care anywhere else I can think of. So glad there's like minded beer lovers in my area.
The selection is amazing. Hop lovers will be satisfied, along with anyone else. They even have the big guys in the coolers (bud, coors) I suppose that's the only way it tastes any good!
So happy that this place exists. Mark! You the man!

Love Merrimac Liquors! They just opened in the fall of '11 and have been steadily building a small but high quality selection of craft brews. The family that runs it is very friendly and welcome suggestions, and are happy to make suggestions. The periodic beer tastings are very chill and a great opportunity to chat with brewery representatives and find out about upcoming releases, etc. What I really appreciate about the store is their dedication to local breweries. Its surprising that in such a small space, they have as much (or more) selection of Mayflower, Ipswich, and Haverhill brews than Dogfish Head or Stone. And they also appear to be just as dedicated ot quality wines(although I'm not much of a wine guy). Good job so far!

Great store. Beer selection is fantastic. Lots of beer tastings. Selection is the best in the area. Friendly and helpful. Have seem beers that I never knew existed. They seem to get what other places cannot. And their prices are great. Dogfish Head, Troegs, Sam Smith, Triple Bag, Southern Tier, full sail, german, italian, england... beer beer and more beer.. and did i forget to mention.... beer local beer, element, long trail, cody, haverhill, maine, allagash, gritty, berkshire... founders, boulevard, lost abbey, stone, mayflower, ithica.... just to name a few
