this is a beer that i have passed by several times on the shelf without giving it a thought. after reading a review on here, i decided i should give it a shot. into the samuel adams perfect pint it goes.

A- a decently forceful pour yields a translucent dark amber colored body with a small bright white head on top. the head lasts for a while, and leaves behind small rings of lacing on the sides of my glass.

S- the first thing that hits me from the nose is biscuity malt and a little bit of caramel. after that i get a healthy dose of floral hops and some pine as well.

T- the taste starts out with more of the sweet caramel and biscuit malts that i could smell. after that comes the hops which are nicely done, bit not overpowering. floral and pine come through the most. there is also a touch of lemon and grapefruit.

M- the body is a solid medium. the carbonation is also.

O- a very nice beer that i have passed by too many times. the strength isnt too much to not allow having a couple in a sitting without having a bad next day either. well done. check this one out.

It appears a golden color with good head retention. The aroma is belgian-esque with a hoppy and cereal smell. The taste begins with the belgian flavor, a kind of estery citrus perhaps. It is followed by a light and hoppy finish. A well balanced ale as the body remains medium to light. I'd drink six.
