A - Thick, murky deep brown, almost a hybrid of tan and purple. Muddy red shines around the edges when held up to light. Forms a finger of khaki head that dissipates quickly. Moderate lacing.

S - Sweet, smokey scent, yeast and spices, some dark fruit notes, faint crisp apple, spices on the back. Very interesting smell.

T - Somewhat mild, unfortunately. Mostly just a spicy, strange Belgian Yeast flavor. Interesting earthy notes, some faint burned biscuit flavor, Not a bad flavor, just doesn't standout the way I prefer a Belgian style ale to.

M - Good carbonation even after a very hard pour. Not very thick, a little more watery than I expected, but drinks smoothly. No alcohol detected in flavor or feel, which is a good thing at this ABV.

O - Not the best dark-style I've tried, but it's got it's own quirky appeal. I recommend it when you're in the mood for something that won't strangle your taste buds but will still stand out a little. Unique without blowing your mind.
