On cask for C'est What's Fall Festival. Into a pint glass.
Pours a pitch black, with a tinge of deep red on the edges. Minimal head, leaving a thin off-white collar. Nose is full of roasted notes, with a ton of vanilla and some milder coffee underneath. Flavour follows the nose, again with some dark, roasty malts coated with a helluva lot of vanilla. Mild sweetness, and this is truly reminiscent of a vanilla bean. Mouthfeel is smooth, thicker than water, and could've been more viscous. Goes down too easily. A treat, to say the least and I hope they continue to brew this.

Almost certainly Black Katt with vanilla added. I don't mind - take a great beer and make it better any day of the week for all I care.
Pitch black pour with hints of red when held up to the light and a finger of light tan head. Nice retention and lacing complete a classic stout appearance. Sublime aroma with the vanilla acting as the perfect compliment for the coffee and sweet chocolate notes. Flavour is great. Chocolate covered coffee beans, chocolate milk, a dash of vanilla and cream. Everything is really nicely integrated. Smooth creamy cask mouthfeel hits the spot.
Seriously good stuff from Bruce!

On cask at C'est What's 2010 Fall Festival of Craft Breweries. Pours a very dark brown colour with a nice layer thick off-white head on top. Smells of vanilla and chocolate with some roasted malt. Quite sweet, but not too much so. The vanilla really comes through in this. Very creamy and smooth mouthfeel. I'd love to have this again.
