A pale ale inspired by classic American pale ales. We brew our pale ale to display a distinctive malt character balanced with an up-front hop aroma and subtle bitterness. Generous use of American hops such as Columbus, Nugget and Cascade provide a delicious thirst quenching citrus nose and a lingering bitter finish.

more american style than many of the other ones we had from these guys, bitter and older school west coast tasting without the english yeast and maltiness that usually come with the style in ipa types from england. the grain is dropped right out of this, it has some flavor, earthy and a touch of honey maybe, but its really light comparatively, and there isnt much color, sugar, richness, or body to it at all. the hops really shine in this context, northwestern, way higher alpha than they need to be in such a light beer overall, but rather fresh, and familiar in a good way. really bitter in the taste, which kind of catches me by surprise early in the day before me palate was really ready for it, but its not out of balance, just robust and with a bit of an earlier onset than is common. notes of pine and green leaves, bitter citrus, and slight weedy dankness as well. lighter feel and with better carbonation than almost all of their other beers have had in my experience. drinkable, nice with rich foods, simple in a way, but also kind of noteworthy. among the better hoppy beers i had in london overall...

The colour is gold (18 EBC), the liquid got some chill haze. The compact white head got good retention.
The smell is strong. Clean citric notes. Medium strong bitterness. Some resin.
The taste is fresh, hop-centric and balanced. Grapefruits and pine needle essence. The bitterness is quite strong, with some tartness. Hints of alcohol in the aftertaste as well as fresh American hops. Grapefruits and lemons in the finish.
The carbonation is medium strong, the fresh bubbles small. Medium smooth liquid.
A highly drinkable APA that makes me think more of Colorado and California than England.

A clear amber ale, an off-white head with little lacing and good curtains.
Smelling hoppy, pine, citric, somewhat soapy.
Tasting toffee, brown bread, grape-fruit, bitter oranges.
Medium low carbonation, smooth, medium body, dry finish.
Nice international hop character.
