Arrives a hazy pinkish color with a well-formed 1/2" high raft of white foam perched atop. Retention is quite good.
Smell is, not unexpectedly, strong on the strawberry, sweetness and malt.
Taste is sweet, almost too much so, strawberry and malt. Nearly the Jolly Rancher in a glass experience.
The only complaint I can lodge with the fruit lambics is they tend to be too sweet. I like them, but because of that overabundance of sweetness they really are just dessert beers. Know that going in and you'll be fine. Expect otherwise, possible problem.
Body is medium, effervescence is light, just wafting across the tongue. A solid lambic but not a standout.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of June 2013. Comes in a fancy paper wrapper. Picked up from a supermarket a while back and stored in my garage. The ingredients include 'flavourings' and artificial sweetner - not promising.

Poured into a Delirium chalice. A deep, hazy amber hue with a pinkish tinge. Good carbonation but tons of chunky sediment or coagulated protein floating around. Yields a decent head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before collapsing to a surface layer. Aroma of sweet, juicy strawberries with hints of earthy yeast. A faint stale note in the background. The strawberries do smell convincingly real.

Tastes of sweet strawberries with a dry finish. Notes of juicy strawberries, sugar/sweetener, earthy yeast, subtle acidity and a mild staleness in the background. The flavour possesses a faintly harsh, artificial quality that is hard to pin down. Dry, with no bitterness to speak of. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and slightly acidic, with decent body and carbonation. A delicate astrigency, followed by an aftertaste of strawberries and dry, earthy yeast.

Hmmmm, so-so. Drinkable enough, and the sweetness allows it to go down easily, but it certainly isn't a quality lambic. The chunky sediment is rather vile. Smells nice, if one-dimensional, but the flavour has some vague off-notes that detract from the overall character. The body also has something that isn't quite right; a sort of dry viscosity that feels somehow artificial. An OK brew if you want something sweet and fruity, but falls far short of the true potential of lambic.

Pours tawny color with thin white head that dissipates quickly to ring around glass.

Smell is tart and acidic with lots of strawberry.

Taste is tart up front but strawberry is less intense than the smell would suggest. Nice strawberry and mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel is prickly with average carbonation.

Overall this was good. My wife thought it was excellent.

When I opened the 25cl, bottle I immediately smelled the strawberries. Colour is orangy, like a regular gueuze beer. Flavour is pre-dominantly sour, strawberry flavour is there, but discretely. Glad it isn't one of those extremely sweet beers, it is sour but moderately. Nice refreshing beer to drink on a hot summer day.

Enjoyed this 750ml beer out of a Belgian tulip glass..

A: Pours a peach color with a white head that quickly dissipates into a wispy lace.

S: Sweet peach and strawberry aroma.

T: Similar to the smell, a sweet peach and strawberry flavor dominates this lambic.

M: Medium body and minimal carbonation.

O: Just a so-so lambic – I’ve had much better.

(Served in a tulip glass)

A- This beer pours a queer reddish-brown body that is murky, and a pink hue to the lumpy white head that last a good bit.

S- The strawberry milkshake aroma has an odd macaroni and cheese smell, like powdered yeast vegans eat instead of cheese. There is also a bubble gum ester note that comes through when the beer warms.

T- The fake strawberry flavor taste just like freeze dried ice cream with a sweet finish and a candy sugar note in there also.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a gentle fizz with no alcohol heat or astringency.

O- The big candy flavor is all artificial strawberry and there is no malt or hops to challenge it. The carbonation helps to cut the sweetness a bit but it is not enough.

A dessert beer for sure, this one has a nice strawberry flavor that does not seem to be pure syrup. Yes, it is sweet, but not over the top. The aroma is the best part of the beer as strawberry comes out on top. While there is not much else going on here, the strawberry alone can save the day.
Smaller bottle helps with the enjoyment. Have this with some cheesecake.

Bottle into a Duvel/Chouffe/De Koninck tulip. Reviewed live.

Served cold.

A: Pours a quarter finger white colour floater. Quickly dissipates. Hazy pale copper colour. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.

Sm: Artificial strawberry extract. Pale malts. A strong aroma. Bleh.

T: Tastes like either childrens' candy or good cough syrup. Neither is particularly enjoyable. Badly built and balanced. Overloaded with crystal malts.

Mf: Sugary, smooth, wet, and fairly thick. Overcarbonated. Doesn't suit the flavour profile all that well.

Dr: Drinkable but mediocre. I wouldn't have this again. Largely artificial garbage.

Low C-
