This beer poured a nice light gold color with a small white frothy head that dissipates quickly. The smell is very sour with hints of lemon and musty. Tastes very sour and bitter with a dry, crisp finish. Could use some sugar to cut the intense sourness of the Lambicus.

Bottle poured into a tulip glass. Beer pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of loose white foamy head. Head dissipates quickly to leave no head. Plenty of fine carbonation streaming up from the bottom of the glass.
Nose is light, a little lemon, pear, and green apple. A little bit of funk but barely there when the beer warms.
Taste is a bit more interesting, leading with lemon, pear and green apple, a bit of light earthy funk and herbal flavor. Some lingering tartness on the tongue.
Light body and easy to drink, pretty refreshing.

750ml bottle served in a champagne flute.
L - clear golden yellow with a white head that was fueled by constant carbonation bubbles.
S - tart lemon zest.
T - tart lemon flavor with a hint of funk midway through.
F - light/medium bodied with a crisp, dry feel.
O - one of the good gueuze.

$8.09 for a corked and caged bottle @ BigTen. 5.5% ABV per the label. Pours out to a slightly hazy pale golden, forming a voluminous huge white head with tons of staying power, irritatingly so because of the champagne like carbonation, ~4.5 carbs or so. Thick layer of yeast in the bottom of the bottle, which on the 2nd pour (which is required because of the damn head) turns this beer into an awfully ugly mess. The aroma is of sour gummy bears, dusty basement, barnyard funk. The mouthfeel is very tart with a very light body. I prefer less carbonation, so if you're like me, let the bottle sit opened for a while. The taste is a recap of the aroma...very tart like sucking on citric acid powder or a mouthful of diluted star-san. No bitterness, no hop flavor, no hop aroma, no malt flavor, no malt sweetness...just one dimensional acid funk. Instant heartburn. Spit up within minutes. I had to take 3 Tums and a glass of milk after drinking 1/3 of the bottle. The rest went down the drain.
I haven't had a ton of Gueuze, but this is not my favorite. Way too dry and one dimensional. I like my lambiques with a touch more sweetness to counteract the acidity and with more malt character. It doesn't taste like pure bile (Like Jolly Pumpkins entire line-up), but it's not far removed. I wouldn't bother buying this again and wouldn't recommended it even to people who like lambics.

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a tulip glass, produced on 4/17/12. This pours a slightly light yellow straw color with a massive off white head which quickly dissipates and leaves nothing. The smells are of funk, vinegar, ripe cherries, malt. The feel is medium with high carbonination. The taste is good, very vinegar like sour, some funk, maybe a little brett, very acidic, my girlfriend thought it reminder her of bile, I find it quite good though. .

Poured from 750mL bottle into a tulip. Bottled 4/17/12.
Appearance: light golden hue with a light haze and an active effervescence. Head pours two fingers of fizzy white foam but dissipates rather quickly with little lace. Not too bad, though.
Smell: nice combination of malt sweetness, a hint of tartness and a moderate funk. This beer seems very well balanced; I like it.
Taste: extremely tart right up front; way more than the aroma would suggest. Funk and sweetness are subdued, at least with respect to the acidity. At the end of the acid is a mild chalky flavor which I think helps reset the palate for the next sip. A very tart, but otherwise balanced and pretty tasty beer. I feel like it's growing on me.
Mouthfeel: light body but big, big carbonation. The creaminess is mouth-filling, but rather evanescent. Good, but not great.
Overall: tart and ... tart. But refreshing and drinkable nonetheless. There are not a ton of gueuzes available in the United States, so I will take what we can get.

Split a 750 ml poured into a duvel glass
A: pours a slightly hazy pale golden yellow with a goodntwonfingers of fluffy white head, carbonation can be seen raising from the middle of the bottom of the glass. A nice light touch of lacing for the style.
S: tart lemon with a giant hint of floweriness, a very faint touch of vinegar. And a very faint barnyard funk. Not a ton of oak character.
T: much like the aroma... Tart lemon with a touch of apple and a hint of vinegar, not much floweriness. Really like the tartness. Very tasty.
M: very high crisp carbonation, almost reminds me of ginger ale, carbonation brings a touch of dryness on the finish. At the same time, lightly sweet on the finish like sour patch kids.
O: this is a very nice gueze, really like the tartness and the way the mouthfeel works with this brew.... If your a fan of a good gueze deffiantly give this a whirl.
