Notes:
There is no other beer like Timmermans Tradition Lambicus Blanche anywhere in the world. It is made by bringing together lambic with the process used for brewing beers based on malted wheat. By the addition of spices such as coriander and dried orange zest, a beer is created with a light, fruity flavour, deliberately cloudy and subtly spicy. Should ideally be drunk from an authentic stoneware pot.

375ml bottle, best before november 2013
A- Pale yellow, perfectly transparent. Nice head, lots of big bubbles, disappears pretty quickly but still leaves a bit of lacing
S- Lemonish, slightly tart/acidic, a bit of a floral note, overall quite weak but still pleasant
T- Very light feel, slightly tart lemon is the main note, along with orange, a slight spicy feel, overall something in the middle between a wit and a cider. Sugar is sure very much present as this is really sweet if compared to both lambics or wits. Finishes with a quite dry and refreshing herbal/floral note
M- Very light mouthfeel, just a hint of delicate carbonation, very refreshing
T- This is meant to be a refreshing beer fot the hot months, and though not super complex or flavourful it is very good at this, bringing a refreshing feel plus very nice balance and drinkability

On tap at California Kebab in San Diego. Another beer that instantly reminds me of Snapple Lemon Iced Tea. Attractive pale amber in the glass with a modest but persistent foam. Fruity nose with a whiff of acidity.
I guess this makes sense, reading more about it-- a lambic Wit. quite drinkable but not as complex as other Lambics. It's like a Wit with a fruit problem. Lemon-lime flavors are the main event. Clear and not at all yeasty. Slightly bitterish twang. Fruit juice flavors to the end. Not very beery.

On-tap at Rattle 'n Hum, New York, NY
A: The beer is slightly hazy pale yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that quickly died down and left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Light aromas of lemon and orange citrus are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of lemon and orange citrus and wheat. Hints of sourness are also noticeable.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and slightly tart on the palate with a low amount of carbonation. The tartness lingers through the finish.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and is quite refreshing, especially if you like orange and lemon citrus. The taste is somewhat reminiscent of Lemonhead candy.

Pours pale gold with a foamy white head. Quite clear. Looks rather fizzy, but some bubbles hang on for a bit. Things go downhill from here. It smells of lemons, floral hops, old stewed vegetables, fruit rot and cough syrup. The lemon note is nice and easily the strongest or my score would be lower. Unfortunately, the rest of the aroma is just off. The taste combines sickly sweetness with lemons and more oddball cough syrup. It reminds me of orange juice concentrate that's gone bad. It's not undrinkable, though I'd say that's more a product of the low abv. The thought of this beer at twice the strength fills me dread. The mouthfeel is sudsy and oddly gummy, a bit like a sorghum beer. Despite my comments, the beer really isn't horrible. It's just a rather bad version of what it advertises. It tastes like a combination of two very simple, overly sweet versions of each style. There are some nice notes somewhere in this beer, and there's an occasional hint of lambic complexity, but the good stuff is utterly lost amongst the muck. Oddly, I kinda liked Timmerman's pumpkin lambic, but this one is a struggle.

Bright pale gold pour, lots of white foam. Too clear for a witbier, swirling the yeast gives it a light haze and a subtly wheaty edge. Smells a bit like wet carboard oxidation, grainy wheat and coriander, and a light tartness. Musty and dull.
Tart lemon-lime flavors, light sweetness, thin and flaccid feel. There's a fleeting tart presence here, but it seems the artificial sweetener is present as well. Hollow feeling and fizzy like soda, tastes like someone splashed some Hogaarden and lemon juice into a can of Sprite. Not that it tastes "bad", just utterly basic and dumbed down. Summer shandy of the lambic world. Sad that they dress this up in a corked & caged 750 and charge $13 for it.
Hard to figure why this was rated higher than Timmermans Oude Gueuze... unfortunately it's just as one dimensional as many of their other beers artificially sweetened with Acesulfame K. Honestly what this beer is supposed to be is a blend of lambic and witbier, which is probably not too far off from bottling a mixed cocktail... something is clearly lost in translation unfortunately.

A: Pours a slightly hazy straw amber color, with a fair amount of bubbly white head. This dissipates quickly, but leaves a ring around the edge of the glass and a film on the surface, which is enough for spots of lacing.
S: Candied sweet fruit and yeast. Pleasant and inviting.
T: Mild sweet wheat with just a touch of tart fruit. Again, pleasant, and much less overbearing than usual for a lambic.
M: Medium body with medium carbonation.
Overall, very nice, fairly low alcohol level, and extremely drinkable. This would be a great "fruity" (but not too fruity) warm weather beer.

From: Binny's, Schaumburg, IL
Date: Cork reads "2011" label says "Produced on 30/05/12 09:12"
Glass: Drie Fonteinen gueuze glass
Lambicus Blanche is a fairly unique fruit lambic, with orange and lemon peel combined with coriander to yield a very witbier-like lambic. While I prefer more sour lambic beers in general, this was refreshing and pleasant, certainly appropriate for summer drinking and, perhaps, aging.
Pours a two-finger, fairly clean white head, of medium to large sized bubbles. Retention is slightly above average, about two minutes in the full decline. Leaves substantial rings of lacing around the perimeter of the glass, combined with a few spots and stripes. The body is a pleasant golden orange color, more gold than orange, light turning everything a pale translucent yellow. Carbonation is readily visible and fairly vigorous-looking. The specifics yield, in general, a very good-looking beer.
Aroma has no single qualifying characteristic, though the strongest two at first are Brettanomyces farm funk (not burnt plastic resin) and lemon juice. With warmth, the beer gives off more sweet-ish herbal scents and some dried, molding pine needles than Brett or tart lemons, though they all vie for the lead. Interesting, if not a bit peculiar, for the style. Certainly don't go into this beer expecting typical gueuze aromas.
This is a gueuze? According to the website, coriander and orange zest are added, along with a higher concentration of wheat in the mash. Front of palate features the aforementioned coriander, along with lemon blossoms and semi-sweet tartness. Mid-palate features substantially, surprisingly light, perfumey, and herbal flavors, almost like a gruit or DuPont's Posca Rustica. The dried lemon/orange peel are obvious, and the coriander is there, though subsumed by the fruit, herbs, tartness, and mild farmhouse. Back of palate delivers some increased tartness/acidity, alongside smooth wheat malt flavors and lingering Brett funk and herbal characters. The aftertaste is fairly minimal, a bit of lemon, wheat and barley cereal, some tartness.
Beer is medium-light in body, with fairly high, though not prickly, carbonation. The result is that the beer foams rapidly across the palate, leaving a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Closes out quite dry, as anticipated, with no residual stickiness about the palate.
