Served on tap at the brewery. Served in a 12 oz pint glass. Poured a mahogany color, produced a nice head and featured excellent lacing. The aroma of this American Brown Ale, consisted of soft oats, fresh baked bread, coffee and nuts. Medium in body, the flavor of this ale featured roasted malt, coffee and nuts. Decent example of the style, overall average. Prost!

Pours a dark brown, almost cola looking. Inch plus frothy head.

Sweet roasted malt, light coffee. Richness.

Very roasted but not charred. Depth from the chocolate malt, leaving that sweet chocolate flavor.

Thin but not too thin. Light enough to make to make it painfully easy to drink.

I am not the biggest brown ale fan because most are dull. This was not dull, quite lovely.

Up from Jacksonville FL and stopped in at the brewery.

A: single finger head on a deep amber body with excellen retention and lacing.

S: oats, roasted barley, hint of espresso and chocolate malts.

T: burnt toast, coffee, oats, slight chocolate malt finish.

M: smooth with medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall: this is a nicely complex for the style. This is one of the best brews offered here, a must try.
