Appearance: Dark complexion upon pouring into tumbler (it’s all I had access to). Only a little suds, and no appearance of lace. No points detracted, though, as glassware choice was poor.
Aroma: Creamy chocolate and a little saltiness from peanut butter. Really pretty nice and appealing.
Taste: A tad bittersweet with dark chocolate and a hint of peanut butter underneath. Subtle and very balanced. A well done stout that brings unconventional elements into a drinkable session worthy stout. Would buy again, for sure.

Apparently, this is an unretired rendition, although it isn't exactly identical. The ABV of this batch is a listed as 7.1 percent, not the 5.5% given by the original listing. The high carbonation allows a massive beige head to form inside a clear glass liter mug. It now recedes above a dark brown liquid, leaving sparse glass lacing. The aroma is peanut butter first, then roasted malt and chocolate, respectively. But, it's not overpowering. Neither is the taste. It's sort of sweet, mildly bringing peanut taste, softly chocolate infused and malty without carrying a roasted malt bite. The mouthfeel is comfortably light, but sufficient and the ABV is well hidden. The carbonation doesn't effect the way it drinks. It goes down very easily and should satisfy just about everyone's sweet tooth, without offending those that don't particularly care for overly sweetened, nor overly flavored stouts. It's nice to see a retired brew return as healthy as this one.

This is exactly what i want from a dessert stout. Sweet, creamy, nutty, and chocolatey. The only way i could see improving on this masterpiece of a beer, would be if the level of carbonation was lowered by around 15% to reach that level of smoothness I prefer with a sweeter beer. I cannot stress this highly enough, if you get a chance, pick these up. They will not disappoint.

-Almost pitch black with 1 finger head that does not retain or leave much lace
-Nose is peanut butter, hint of coffee, chocolate, toast
-Taste follows nose, less peanut butter, more toast. Tinge of sweetness, caramel maybe
-Heavy bodied mouth feel. A little too much carbonation for my taste.
