Pours a nice ruby hue, with little carbonation. As it is, no lace, either. Low on presentation.

Nose is malty sweet, with hints of caramel and toffee.

Taste is malty, too, with more of the toffee and caramel taking precedence. A touch of citrus hops comes in to round off the finish. A solid, if unremarkably average brew here.

12oz bottle, pours a deep, ruby red, almost brown, topped with a thin, beige head. Sweet, malty nose, with caramel, brown sugar, toasty grain, faint peat, earthy, a little metallic. Tastes are malty and very sweet with caramel, earth, toasted grain, a little medicinal on the finish. Somewhat watery mouth-feel, but the carbonation helps it feel a bit fuller. I don't know, this wasn't bad, but it was very sweet and something about it was keeping me from wanting to finish it. One was plenty for me. I'll just call it average.

First, one drop turns into ten grams of foam. That is a whole glass of foam. We tried this with all six beers in our six pack. The first two we tried to drink and foam shot out of our nose, mouth, eye and ears! We let he bottle sit for thirty minutes and a slow controlled pour still foamed up uncontrollably. This is an undrinkable beer! There is no practical use for this liquid that I can think of. Althought if you shook one up and threw it through someone's house window it would cause their house to explode!! After an hour of letting it sit where we can drink it, it was still insanely carbonated an barely had any taste. I have purchased an undrinkable drink. Therefore do not buy... Do NOT drink!

Got this on tap at Farmhouse in Chicago. Pour: was red-brown with slight head. Smell: malted and maybe a little fruity (figs or apricots? Not sure). Taste: smooth and malted. Lots of caramel and a little vanilla with a hint of nuts and fruit. Feel: thicker then expected for low alcohol content. Finish: is weird and not happy, not bad overall, but not good on the finish.

Had this on tap at Brothers in South Bend. The appearance is amber but watery. It looks a bit like tea. The aroma has a light caramel to it. The mouthfeel is watery and the taste is more like a mass produced light amber than a micro brew. I am very dissappointed overall.

Had on tap at Four Horsemen.

A- Pours a deep amber red color. One finger light tan head head shows low retention leaving light whisps of foam on the beer. Spotty lace throughout the entire drink.

S- Light toasted malt in the front of the aroma. There is a sweet smelling underlying malt in there along with a light bittering hop. I do pick up a small lacto like infection that gives off a light sour note. My only problem with the aroma (sourness aside) is that it is way too light and you have to bury your nose to get any aroma.

T- Toasted malts up front with a underlying light bitter hop bite. This gives way to more toasted malts with some sweetness underlying it. The flavor fades a little bit and becomes a little watery with big hints of lacto in there. This sourness rides to the end with some toasted malts and ends with a light hop crispness. There is a underlying grainy texture toward the ending too that mixes a little with the light alcohol.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is a little weak for the style. Toasted malts and hints of lacto are left on the palate. Aftertaste is toasted malts, cereal grains, light alcohol, and hint of hops. Flavors were balanced the best so far in this beer but still a little watery. A strange sour lacto flavor is given in the middle to ending of this beer which is its only off flavor...although a big one. Medium alcohol drying on the palate.

O- This beer I guess won an award. I don't see how. The off flavor is very distinct and while not off putting doesn't belong in there. I didn't detect any diacetyl in this beer like the others which is a good start. A watery version of an Irish Red that should show a little more to it. Nice try guys but still not quite right.
