look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.5
A: The beer is slightly hazy light pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that has very good retention properties and left a short head covering the surface.
S: There are moderate to strong aromas of cardamom and ginger in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste has lots of herbal flavors and has lots of cardamom along with notes of ginger.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little prickly on the palate with a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
O: This is a unique and interesting beer if you like lots of herbal flavors.
Note: Bottle #294

Bottle 294 of 500
A: Pours a hazy to cloudy pale straw yellow in color with some moderate to significant amounts of visible carbonation near the surface. The beer has a three finger tall fizzy white head that slowly reduces to a thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of wheat with moderate aromas of lemon citrus and spices (cardamon and ginger).
T: Moderate to strong flavors of spices (cardamon and ginger) with some light notes of wheat upfront. There are some subtle to light amounts of lemon citrus, especially closer to the finish. Very light amounts of bitterness in the finish.
M: Light bodied with moderate to significant amounts of carbonation. Acidic and prickly (possibly just a touch over carbonated).
O: I could see this beer either being a American Pale Wheat Ale or an Herbed/Spiced Beer - it is an interesting blend of the styles with the pronounced cardamon and ginger in what is a very typical wheat ale. I enjoyed the beer but the spice component might make this one not the easiest of drinkers - I don't think this beer could be sessionable for me.

The brewery describes this as a White Pale Ale
Bottle 298 of 500
Appearance: Pours a hazy straw color with a rather modest head for a wheat beer; leaves a few dots and dashes of lace
Smell: Bready, with lemony citrus and cardamom tones
Taste: Bready with a developing lemon/citrus flavor; in the middle, the floral cardamom tones add an exotic Asian aspect; a little peppery, after the swallow, but the finish is somewhat aqueous
Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate carbonation
Overall: The best part of this beer is the cardamom - the brewery really nailed that spice addition; otherwise, the overall effect is somewhat watery and understated; worth a try but could be enhanced
