On tap at Bottlemixx
A - pitch black with a big, thick, brown head that has great retention
S - big coffee aroma with a smooth transition to cocoa
T - cocoa nibs, coffee, roasted malts, faint bitter finish
M - medium to full bodied, smooth, well carbonated
This was a very delicious beer. It was highly drinkable, but also intricate. The cocoa and coffee are superb. The overall flavor is tremendous. This is definitely worth trying.

Picked up a growler from Bestway today.Poures jet black into an impy nonic with a very thin deep tan colored head atop.Aromas of burnt sugar and coffee roast stand out, like creme brullee and a strong coofee mix.The mouthfeel is mellow but full,it goes down easy.Flavors of deep roast and char mixed with brown sugar and caramel sweetness,it's not as soft as I would like. Not a bad stout but it's a little rough around the edges for the style.

look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: Out of the cask, the beer has a small khaki lid that crowns the dark brown liquid; a modest amount of lacing is left behind
Smell: Smells like a cup of richly roasted black coffee
Taste: Up front, the coffee flavors dominate, with black bread and chocolate undertone; after the swallow, however, the coffee adds a lot of acidity to the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; for an oatmeal stout, the body is rather thin and lacks the creamy quality I would expect from the style
Overall: This beer was made by adding coffee to the cask and it tastes rather like carbonated coffee, lacking the depth of flavor and mouthfeel that I would seek in the style; although the IBUs are low, the finish reminds of that old commercial where the drinker complains "Oh,this coffee sure tastes bitter."
