Draft offering during the week of the 4th of July. Served in a tulip at the brewey. It appears dark brown to black in color with red hue around the edges. A tan cap sits atop and quickly fades.

The smell is primariky cocoa and roasty grain. A bit of herbal hops are present to break things up. Nothing outlandish here in the nose and nothing bad. Just an overall nice aroma.

The taste is roasty abd somewhat bitter with an unsweetened cocoa aspect before blending into further bitterness from an herbal inclusion of hops. The aftertaste goes back to the feeling of baking cocoa.

This is a medium bodied brew with a light level of carbonation. Overall it is a decent offering that I had no issue finishing. Worth a try if its available for sure.
