A - Pours a reddish/brown color, off-white head, thin collar.

S - Dark fruit, caramel, toffee. Pretty sweet and mostly dark fruit on the nose with a light booze kick to it that works well.

T - Dark fruit, light oak, toffee. I think it's even sweeter on the palate when compared to the nose. The booze is noticeable, but doesn't take away from the beer all that much. Finish is sweet fruit and light oak.

M - Full body, good carbonation, creamy finish.

O - A nice Belgian strong with a huge dark fruit presence. I couldn't really drink a lot of this one, but it was great to split several ways with friends. Would have again in the future.

Thanks to pantanap for sharing all these rare 7venth Sun barrrel-aged beers. Served in a Kuhnhenn goblet.

A - Quick-dissolving white foam settles to a thin collar, wisps, and minimal lace. Semi-transparent amber cider body.

S - Oak, vanilla, mild whiskey presence, fruity Belgian yeast, caramel, and dark fruits. Smells exactly as you'd expect for a whiskey barrel-aged Belgian Amber.

T - The taste is quite similar, with a mix of oaky vanilla, honey, fruity esters, dark fruits, and caramel. Not a lot of overt whiskey flavor.

M - Chewy and viscous, medium-full body, with lower carbonation. Tannic and dry finish.

D - This was pretty solid, and was by far the most successful of 7venth Sun's barrel-aged experiments, showing a deft touch in melding the base beer and barrel flavors. I'm not really sure I need many whiskey barrel-aged Belgians in my life, but if I did this would be a solid choice.
