Appearance – This is a beautiful, light shiny copper in color with a huge, lasting, lacing head.

Smell – The easy, light, but potent hop profile is lemon with some light grapefruit. It is very soft on the nose and pleasant.

Taste – The hops are similar at the taste and I get a light malt compliment. This is very well balanced and flavorful without being harsh.

Mouthfeel – This AIPA is shy of medium-bodied and smooth as if poured on cask. Carbonation is light.

Drinkability – This literally goes down like water. It manages to be flavorful without being harsh and is one of the smoothest beers I’ve ever had out of a can.

a nice clean pour with 2 fingers white head, patchy lacing. a citrusy sweet scent, fruity, malty, pine hops.
seems like a lot is lost in the taste. all the flavors blend together into a confusing mess of sweetness.
medium body, low carbonation, small amount of creaminess.
it's a surprisingly tasty ipa form a brewer i have never even heard of before. a solid go to for those local to it.

Nose of raisins, ripe oranges, caramel malts and cantaloupe. The taste is very malty for an IPA. It is caramel, toffee, some resiny notes, honey and ripe melon. Definitely not one of my favorite IPAs and probably bottom of the list for AZ. Sorry, guys.

Bottle

Thanks for opening this with me, Nathan!

Slightly hazed gold, nearly amber, with a moderately sized near-white head that leaves sticky lines of irregular lace down the glass. Nice and appropriate.

The aroma has some lemon, slight orange, and some bread character to it. This is slightly better than average, I suppose, though that might be a bit generous.

A somewhat sweet IPA, especially compared to the classic West Coast heavy hitters. The flavors are well rounded, integrated, and drinkable, and the citrus hop flavors have a lemon component to them.

Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

An average IPA, though not at all undrinkable.

Sampled on tap at 1702, Tucson, November 2011
Arrives from the tap with a ¼-finger thick, lightly tanned head that leaves quite a bit of lacing on the sides of my glass. The beer is a brilliantly clear, amber-copper color that shows a copper-gold hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells faintly of grapefruit with perhaps just a hint of a metallic hop note. As I notice it more the citrus character leans more towards meyer lemon and even sort of like a lemon scented dish-washing soap after a bit; the soapiness is note totally bad, but overall the nose is a little “different” perhaps even weird for an IPA. The soap character is brought out by a sort of woody, herbal note that lightly scents the nose of this beer. Somehow there is a mustiness to this beer that wraps up into a green fruitiness, neither of which should be noticeable in this beer; these suggest at an off-quality to this beer and in fact become quite dominant after only a short bit.

The beer tastes very lemon like, even finishing with a tartness that reminds me a lot of lemon. The body is quite light and the beer is actually fairly dry as well, which accentuates the tartness in the finish. There is a fair amount of carbonation in this beer that works well with the light body. This has a fair amount of bitterness, this is of course accentuated by the dryness and it mixes with a phenolic note in the finish that is a mix of curing plastic, medicinal notes and mustiness. The off-notes in the finish become quite dominant for this beer and make it undrinkable except as an example of what not to do in a beer.

This beer was likely infected before it left the brewery, it is way more funky than the recipe ever intended I am quite sure. It doesn’t really even cut it as a “Belgian” IPA, though who knows, if this ages a long time it might transform into something funky and tasty (one can always hope). As it is though… Hey at least it looks pretty, and the light body is nice.

Poured from 12oz bottle into pint glass at Bison Witches in Tucson. Pours lightly hazy amber/copper with a small, fizzy white head, medium-short retention with fair lacing. Aroma is average biscuit, cereal, and honey malt with heavy earthy, herbal, and floral hops and a tropical fruit nose. Flavor is moderately bitter hops with nice, supporting malt notes and a fruity, dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation. A solid IPA.

Not that there are many to choose from. But this I the best (out of 2, so not saying much) IPA in lake havasu.

A nice balance between fruity sweetness and the hop bitterness. Like all the beers i tried here this was definitely a summer beer version of the style but very enjoyable Out of the few that I tried this was the best brew I had here.

Yellow to darker gold colored beer, white head. Smells of grapefruit and pine hops, although a little muted.

Taste, better hop mouthfeel, more citrus, more pine. Good fruity hop mouthfeel, not just bittering hops here. Was enjoyable, had this at Papago in Pheonix, with their garlic chicken pizza, this definitely is a good beer w garlic, enjoyed it. Would recommend.
