This is my favorite place in LA. I love the people that work here and the selection has gotten so much better. I believe that it will outgrow its current building in a couple of years. Too many great things happen here. Everyone should check out this place.

I had to check this place out since I was in the area. Parking can be tough as the spot is in a strip mall with only a few parking spaces alloted in the lot. Street parking was filled up but I got lucky after making a few passes. It's in a bit of a sketchy area as well. Inside it's a cool combo of a taproom and bottle shop. They had 5 beers on tap in the tasting room which was pretty cozy and relaxing. Their bottle shop part was about 10 coolers and some tables with a wide variety of bottles. You can buy beers to go or buy them to drink after a corkage fee. They had a few beers I have never seen before which is always nice. I just got a beer from the taproom which was a nice tulip pour of Victory Helios for $4. I will definitely be back in the future and I highly recommend a stop for anyone in the area.

i'm disappointed that there's only one review.
a: it's a dim pleasant setting. in the lounge area, wood panelling, built in book shelves, and a couple cozy shelves. in the retail area, a wall of refrigerators and 2 table for more inventory. they could do better seating options, as the lounge area has 2 voluminous tables that only seat 3 in stools. they have a narrow outdoor area populated by a few smokers. the crowd is full of bearded vintage clad types focusing on more sessionable brews. i know that turns some people off, but i've never felt that anyone in the crowd was jerky/stupid.
q/selection: their weakest beer is likely hoegarden. they get their hands on seasonals and rarities from like Firestone's Parabola, Taps' Remy, and Hangar 24's Hammerhead. i always find several things worth taking/drinking on sight.
serv: every worker i've talked to is cordial, informative, knowledgeable, clearly passionate about great beer, and helpful. on one visit, my card was overcharged and they comped my beer. i don't know what more i could say.
f: they do not have a kitchen, but allow food in the bar. the neighboring pizza parlor makes a great pizza called "Chavez Ravine" - it was as delicious as what happened in Chavez Ravine was tragic!
value: great value, especially if you go on No Corkage Wednesday - where they waive the already minimal 2$ corkage fee for drinking any of their brews on site.

Right on Sunset Boulevard just a few blocks from Mohawk Bend this was a great find this past Saturday on a trip to LA. This place is both a retail store selling about 200 different cold beers and a handful of wines, and also a very relaxed bar and lounge with 6 beers on draft and you could have them open any bottled beer and have it there for a minimal corkage fee (an extra buck IIRC). Great art on the walls, could use a few more chairs / seating options as the lounge felt full with only 15 people in it.
I enjoyed finding bottles from SoCal and also from Belgium that I have not seen in stores in the Bay Area. Shared a bottle of Dupont Saison I'd never seen before they also had a Lambickx and a Dupont Stout I'd not seen before and then had some nice rarities on draft from New Belgium (Cocoa Mole and Prickly Pear Saison). Took a few bottles and cans home too; would've loved to have seen even more local bottles/cans.
They also had a few older bottles on a reserve beer list (e.g., Parabola), a bit pricier and not sure if those were only for on-site or not.
I did not see any evidence of homebrew supplies being sold - only adding that as I see that is one of the 3 ways they are listed on BA at the moment.
