Once again this brewery had your typical san diego business park location with a pretty small tasting due to the equipment taking up most of the space. Cool laid back drinking atmoshpere with plenty of beer enthusiast chillin drinking. The selection was basically the year round offerings but with a few other tap only brews which was nice to see. The quality this time around was not to great cause most of their beers seemed to have this metallic flavor to them due to dirty tap lines or something else. They seriously tasted like they were dry hopped with nickels or dimes. The brewery staff was cool and was nice to finally check this brewpub in person, hopefully their beers will be taste better next time around.

Stop #3 on my SD brewery Tour on 9/3. Exterior looked pretty cool with the glass paneling. Inside it's also equally impressive with a very wide open space peering out into the brewery. Fermentation tanks, holding vessels, bottling line are all within easy sightlines. Barrel aged setup right next to tasting room wall.
Tasting room itself was clean but rather expansive. Not a bad thing if the crowds were in, but when I visited I felt like it was a little too big to get really comfortable. They do have a side courtyard with picnic benches where you can relax outside and strike up a conversation. Would have liked to see some hops growing in the garden-like area, like some other breweries have, but I guess the place is still too new.
Customer service was good. The pourers were very accommodating. Was disappointed to hear the food truck wouldn't be by on the Sunday I was there. Wish they would have made some arrangements for some food to go with all the beer on an empty stomach. Did get a great tip to Bangin' Burger a liitle ways south (awesome food!).
Thought the beer was okay. Besides the excellent West Coast IPA, I couldn't find another selection that I was particularly fond of. After already visited Ballast Point and AleSmith just earlier I was somewhat letdown with the specialty beers.
Overall, it was worth a visit. This place has definite potential, but it was still too new to really get comfortable and enjoy some beer in a unique setting.

Another brewery in an industrial park seems to be the trend in So Cal. Maybe I find that weird because I'm used to the breweries I frequent in downtowns or shopping areas. Could be because they are also serving food but anyways if you knew where you were going it was easy to find. This place is just like The Bruery. You walk in and there are the silos straight ahead and the bar to the right with a fridge behind the fold out table they are using. Beer line up is the normal line up with no barleywine. I was bummed to see no Silva Stout. I got the flight which goes down the list. Service was quick and friendly. Flight was cheap too. Under $6 and the pint glass for sale were cheap too, only $3. Nice little place to go and hang out at.

Nothing like walking into a brewery and filling the nostrils with hops and malt, drinking fine craft brews amoungst which they came. A great atmosphere, a good tour, and friendly staff, a must stop for any beer enthusiast that might be in the San Diego area.

Headed there in September '12. My brother's office is down the street and I was visiting, so it was pretty convenient.
Stopped in. The place was hopping around 4:30. Had about 6 or 7 different beers. Enjoyed them all. Had some stuff there that I never had before, so that was nice. Was talking to the dude about their collab with CCB.
Service was good. Grabbed a couple Tshirts for me and a friend.
Will be back I'm sure. Especially while my brother is working

The tasting area is simply an open area with a a bar and some surface areas around the perimeter on which to sit your beer. It is quite crowded tonight, a late Friday evening and beginning of San Diego Beer Week. The vibe is pretty warm, light, and friendly. The service suffers due to the crowd size, but no one was rude or unhelpful. I got my flight pretty quickly considering the number of patrons. Several Green Flash offerings are on tap. There is a food truck outside with some outdoor seating adjacent to the parking lot. Some inside tables and chairs and a way to make it a little more cozy would go a long way in improving the atmosphere. Prices are pretty reasonable, although I was charged $6 for a key chain that is normally a give away at beer festivals.

The new location is much bigger than the old location. Basically the drinking area is made up of a long bar with cool signage and taps above the bar. Good selection and excellent size options and prices. Bartenders were a bit subdued, but good service. There is an outdoor area adjacent to the parking lot with some tables. They also have an area for Green Flash paraphernalia.
Nothing fancy about this place, if you like Green Flash beer, this is an excellent brewery to visit. We were there on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded, but I imagine if food trucks were there and it was more crowded, it would be a much better atmosphere.

This is at the new location in Mira Mesa.
The brewery is located in an indescript light industrial area with ample parking in the back. You walk into the brewery complex with their entire operation visible as you walk down a hallway into the tasting room. The tasting room is just a bar on the side of the brewery without interior seating but plenty of standing room both at the bar and the railing on the periphery. It's a neat setting as the brewing operation is completely visible from the tasting room. There's also a nice outdoor seating area on the side of the building with a number of tables. They had their full range of beers, including a number of Belgians which I hadn't seen in bottles before. Overall, it's fairly spartan place with no food, but the interior is neat.

If you're going on a brew tour of San Diego, don't miss Green Flash! At their tasting room you'll find a selection of super tasty beers that you can't find in stores, and you get to enjoy them in the same giant room that they were brewed in! Whenever I get the chance to go here I like to try out their beers like the Grand Cru & Palate Wrecker that are difficult to find outside of SD. Whether you like super hoppy beers or belgian style beers you'll find everything at Green Flash. If you're not from California, I highly recommend the West Coast IPA as an introduction to this style that San Diego breweries like Green Flash, Stone, and Alesmith have all perfected. If you're there in the fall try the Green Bullet, it tastes like drinking liquid hops! Their Tripel is a solid option, and I wouldn't leave this place without trying Le Freak.
The tasting room has a welcoming atmosphere, and it's nice to be able to look around at the bottling & brewing equipment. Their beer garden is great for escaping the noise if it's too crowded, and the christmas lights are a nice touch. It's pretty cool that they let dogs into the tasting room, and there's a space to buy swag and get growler fills. It gets pretty packed after 5 when all the people working nearby head over to grab some post-work brews. They have a different food truck parked next to the beer garden every day, and I hear that the pizza one is really great. A nice bonus is that this place is close to Sorrento Wine & Spirits (which has an amazing selection) and Indian Tandoor, which will make for a great post-tasting dinner. If you're in San Diego, Green Flash is a must-see!

Been here twice this place is great, the taps are on one side with a huge counter that everyone can rest their beer on and look at the inter workings of the Brewery. The prices are great 4 dollar pints and 1 dollar tasters.Green Flash West Coast IPA was awesome! The Summer Saison was still on tap and another great beer. Food trucks are here on the weekends and in the evenings on some days. One thing I didn't like was it was closed at 2pm on a Friday, a worker came out and was very nice and explained that they didn't open and we could have a drink at AleSmith which was open at the time. Great Beer and Great fun!
