Another brewery in an industrial park seems to be the trend in So Cal. Maybe I find that weird because I'm used to the breweries I frequent in downtowns or shopping areas. Could be because they are also serving food but anyways if you knew where you were going it was easy to find. This place is just like The Bruery. You walk in and there are the silos straight ahead and the bar to the right with a fridge behind the fold out table they are using. Beer line up is the normal line up with no barleywine. I was bummed to see no Silva Stout. I got the flight which goes down the list. Service was quick and friendly. Flight was cheap too. Under $6 and the pint glass for sale were cheap too, only $3. Nice little place to go and hang out at.

The Green Flash tasting room is located in their huge brewery space. It's cool being right inside the brewery and I would say that it is one of the most well organized and professional looking brewery spaces I have seen so far. The quality of all the beer on tap was great. Service was pretty good even with a ton of people trying to get beer at once. The selection was great with 12 of their offerings on tap and some other bottled beer that wasn't on tap. Tasters are only $1 each and I was able to try the 3 "SD only" beers I have never seen anywhere else. Worthy of a stop if you are in the area.

I've been here many times and it's always been a good experience. This is another brewery located in the back of an industrial park, but it works well enough.
They generally have all of their year round beers on tap as well as some seasonals and limited release or draft only beers (Palate Wrecker, anyone?).
It can get pretty busy in the brewery/bar, but the service has always been stellar and you're never left standing without a beer to drink for very long.
The head brewer, Chuck, is around quite often and has always been more than willing to answer any of my questions about particular beers.
Of course, you can also take home growlers and/or bottles of their beers, too.
One of the cool places in San Diego (but aren't there a lot of those?) and definitely worth a stop.

The new location is much bigger than the old location. Basically the drinking area is made up of a long bar with cool signage and taps above the bar. Good selection and excellent size options and prices. Bartenders were a bit subdued, but good service. There is an outdoor area adjacent to the parking lot with some tables. They also have an area for Green Flash paraphernalia.
Nothing fancy about this place, if you like Green Flash beer, this is an excellent brewery to visit. We were there on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded, but I imagine if food trucks were there and it was more crowded, it would be a much better atmosphere.

Been here twice this place is great, the taps are on one side with a huge counter that everyone can rest their beer on and look at the inter workings of the Brewery. The prices are great 4 dollar pints and 1 dollar tasters.Green Flash West Coast IPA was awesome! The Summer Saison was still on tap and another great beer. Food trucks are here on the weekends and in the evenings on some days. One thing I didn't like was it was closed at 2pm on a Friday, a worker came out and was very nice and explained that they didn't open and we could have a drink at AleSmith which was open at the time. Great Beer and Great fun!

This is a review of their new location in Mira Mesa.
I live just a few blocks east of here, so it was great to see that they'd moved in right along my daily bus commute. It is a warehouse that I recall used to be occupied by a moving company, but they've got their brewing stuff in there now, along with some barrels of aging beer. The tasting area is a partitioned off area of that, with two very nice bars, and plenty of room. You can also go out along the side of the building where there's grass and picnic tables. An excellent brewery-meets-tasting room arrangement: functional and nice.
Though not busy, there were more people than I expected. It is on the edge of an industrial/hi-tech area, so presumably they get a bit of an "after work" crowd. (Brief note to some customers: once you get your beer, you don't have to hang around two feet from the bar - there's plenty of room!)
I must confess that I've never been a huge fan of Green Flash beers - the few I've had in the bottle, and the couple I've had on tap, haven't particularly impressed me. However, I was quite happy with the ones we tried there, particularly the 30th Street Pale Ale. Nothing otherworldly, but very solid and enjoyable. And a great selection too, of 12-16 of their beers. All beers were available as $1 tasters (3-4 oz.). Strong beers were also available in 13 oz. glasses for $4, and "regular" beers as half-pints for $2 and full pints for $4. Very reasonable, and nice to have a tasting room serving those larger glasses.
Being short on time, we only stayed for a couple of tasters and half-pints, but are looking forward to returning. The employees there were all friendly.
Food-wise, Green Flash does not serve their own food. However, they try and get a local food truck to come by many of the evenings they're open. The evening we went the Devilicious food truck was there (amazing!), but I've eaten from other trucks they've had and they're all great. (To the uninitiated: I'm not talking about roach coaches, but high quality - dare I say "gourmet"? - fare served from food trucks.)
So, thumbs-up to Green Flash for such a great tasting room. And kudos too for having the food trucks, and for GF keeping us up-to-date on that via their twitter feed (without bombarding me with pointless info)!!

Headed there in September '12. My brother's office is down the street and I was visiting, so it was pretty convenient.
Stopped in. The place was hopping around 4:30. Had about 6 or 7 different beers. Enjoyed them all. Had some stuff there that I never had before, so that was nice. Was talking to the dude about their collab with CCB.
Service was good. Grabbed a couple Tshirts for me and a friend.
Will be back I'm sure. Especially while my brother is working

Went down for the Silva & Sleeping with Shaggy release. Place is huge open warehouse with the tasting room right in the corner of the brewery. Staff was super nice and very helpful. They all seemed happy to be there and it made me happy to be there. Big tap line with some beers that don't make there way into a bottle very often. Every beer I tried was excellent. I'll be making that trip a lot more often.

This place was pretty packed... I'm guessing my visit was during their busy time. Of all the breweries I visited, this ones beer most reminded me of my Midwestern roots as there seemed to be a more malt presence and not so hop forward. The atmosphere had an industrial feel, which I think is great for a tour but not so much for a tap room. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

I went here with a group of people(around 12). The place is in a large warehouse style building. I really like how the tasting room is located right inside the brewhouse, in a way that you are actually just separated by a low wall. There are two bars, one long one where you can taste their beers and another shorter one where you can get hooked up with their merch. I was actually surprised at how many belgian beers they had. I am not a big fan of belgian yeast so this surprise wasn't a great one for me. That being said the people I was with who like the belgians really enjoyed them. Not a shocker, I love all of the non-belgian Green Flash beers. They make great beer, probably preaching to the choir when I say that. Their Double Stout is def one to write home about. We went on a short tour, which was fairly standard. We got to go in their cold room where they keep the packaged beer, it was really cool to see stacks and stacks of my favorite beers. I kind of felt like I was in my own version of heaven, this version was much colder than I would have pictured but still great.
