Went down for the Silva & Sleeping with Shaggy release. Place is huge open warehouse with the tasting room right in the corner of the brewery. Staff was super nice and very helpful. They all seemed happy to be there and it made me happy to be there. Big tap line with some beers that don't make there way into a bottle very often. Every beer I tried was excellent. I'll be making that trip a lot more often.

This place was pretty packed... I'm guessing my visit was during their busy time. Of all the breweries I visited, this ones beer most reminded me of my Midwestern roots as there seemed to be a more malt presence and not so hop forward. The atmosphere had an industrial feel, which I think is great for a tour but not so much for a tap room. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Headed there in September '12. My brother's office is down the street and I was visiting, so it was pretty convenient.

Stopped in. The place was hopping around 4:30. Had about 6 or 7 different beers. Enjoyed them all. Had some stuff there that I never had before, so that was nice. Was talking to the dude about their collab with CCB.

Service was good. Grabbed a couple Tshirts for me and a friend.

Will be back I'm sure. Especially while my brother is working

Large open floor plan with no seating. However, there is outside seating. Would be nice if there were bar stools.
High noise level (music + people talking).
Plenty of space at the bar as most people congregate in the middle with friends.
Friendly bartenders.
Absurd selection when I went - almost 30 beers on draft.
One of the best values in draft beer, just below a happy hour Pliny. $1 for 4oz, 2$ for 8oz and $4 for 16oz, with some exceptions for rare or aged beers. I started on the left of the wall and managed to make it through 8-9 of the 4oz samples before I had to quit =D

While Green Flash isn't my favorite brewery in general (most of their beers are overly sweet, and many have a metallic twang in the finish that I assume is due to hard water), the brewery itself is a great place to go as a visitor or regular. Don't miss it.

I went here with a group of people(around 12). The place is in a large warehouse style building. I really like how the tasting room is located right inside the brewhouse, in a way that you are actually just separated by a low wall. There are two bars, one long one where you can taste their beers and another shorter one where you can get hooked up with their merch. I was actually surprised at how many belgian beers they had. I am not a big fan of belgian yeast so this surprise wasn't a great one for me. That being said the people I was with who like the belgians really enjoyed them. Not a shocker, I love all of the non-belgian Green Flash beers. They make great beer, probably preaching to the choir when I say that. Their Double Stout is def one to write home about. We went on a short tour, which was fairly standard. We got to go in their cold room where they keep the packaged beer, it was really cool to see stacks and stacks of my favorite beers. I kind of felt like I was in my own version of heaven, this version was much colder than I would have pictured but still great.

The tasting area is simply an open area with a a bar and some surface areas around the perimeter on which to sit your beer. It is quite crowded tonight, a late Friday evening and beginning of San Diego Beer Week. The vibe is pretty warm, light, and friendly. The service suffers due to the crowd size, but no one was rude or unhelpful. I got my flight pretty quickly considering the number of patrons. Several Green Flash offerings are on tap. There is a food truck outside with some outdoor seating adjacent to the parking lot. Some inside tables and chairs and a way to make it a little more cozy would go a long way in improving the atmosphere. Prices are pretty reasonable, although I was charged $6 for a key chain that is normally a give away at beer festivals.

The Green Flash tasting room is located in their huge brewery space. It's cool being right inside the brewery and I would say that it is one of the most well organized and professional looking brewery spaces I have seen so far. The quality of all the beer on tap was great. Service was pretty good even with a ton of people trying to get beer at once. The selection was great with 12 of their offerings on tap and some other bottled beer that wasn't on tap. Tasters are only $1 each and I was able to try the 3 "SD only" beers I have never seen anywhere else. Worthy of a stop if you are in the area.

A fun place to hang and drink just minutes from Ballast Point, Alesmith, and Hess. Really a pretty huge facility, warehouse-like, but bustling with people on an early friday evening. Big bar with lots of good stuff on tap, bottles and growlers to go, a fair amount of cool merchandise. IIRC you have your choice of pour sizes from halfs to full pints. Has an industrial feel, no frills, just a fully operational brewery with a lot of people hanging out and drinking.

My fiancee and I really enjoyed grabbing a few then heading outside to the small beer garden with picnic benches. Lovely San Diego weather makes drinking outside an obvious choice. There was a truck set up nearby making some food, mostly burgers and basic grilled items, I think, but didn't have a chance to sample anything this time.

Green Flash is an obvious place to stop in if you're anywhere nearby; the beer is top notch and it's cool and casual and very welcoming.

Been here twice this place is great, the taps are on one side with a huge counter that everyone can rest their beer on and look at the inter workings of the Brewery. The prices are great 4 dollar pints and 1 dollar tasters.Green Flash West Coast IPA was awesome! The Summer Saison was still on tap and another great beer. Food trucks are here on the weekends and in the evenings on some days. One thing I didn't like was it was closed at 2pm on a Friday, a worker came out and was very nice and explained that they didn't open and we could have a drink at AleSmith which was open at the time. Great Beer and Great fun!

I visited this brewery with my buddy ragingbull. The brewery is in an industrial building and is easy to find due to a well lit sign on the front.
Walking past some offices you come into the production floor of the brewery where there is a huge U shaped bar and wide open floor plan.
Another bar area is in front of some t-shirts and other paraphernalia. behind the bar are large easy to read signs as to what is on tap, which amounts to everything the bar has to offer, approximately 20 beers. Many staff members are on hand to take orders, 1 oz samples, 8 oz pours or full pints are available. Growlers to go and bombers, 6 packs I think even sixtels and kegs out the door if you want.
The staff are very knowledgeable and answered our questions with ease. Lots about the various types of oak barrels aging brews juston the other side of the bar. We had samples of the black IPA, barleywine, rayon vert, and la freak. All were quite tasty. Left with bomber of barleywine and growler of black IPA.
Definitely worth a stop when in San Digeo. No food minus a truck parked outside and I think you may be able to bring in your own grub if you wanted since there are some picnic tables outside.
Stop in and try some beers.
