A - Has the color of an American Pale Ale as opposed to a lighter colored Belgian coiunterpart. Pours with a massive two to three fingered head, no matter what I did, it was billowing and lots of carbonation in the beginning. Pours a copper gold color that's nice and clear. I opted to leave the sediment in the bottle, didn't want to spoil the appearance.
S - Coriander, some barynyard funk, mild lemon grass, pears, and white grapes.
T - Mimics the nose - pears, white grapes, a little bit of lemon peel, and some sour funk mixed in to make for an interesting beer. There's some slight alcohol presence and the sip ends with a substantial bitter lemon peel, pepper, and citrus bite the darn near sucks the spit off your tongue...very dry and lots of snap.
M - Medium feel with a very DRY body and lots of silky carbonation on the tongue.
O - This beer is well brewed and is a nice venture to a style not seen very often in the U.S. (that I know of so far). Coming from Green Flash, I wouldn't expect anything less - nicely done.

An impressively active carbonation builds a massive khaki foam that very slowly collapses to a tall lumpy head with spongy lacing over dark amber-orange body that glows more orange in sunlight.
As if bottled yesterday, vibrantly fresh citrus-accented pear meets beautifully floral and sweet honeysuckle balanced by mildly spicy brett that cleans up the finish and adds bittering root of romaine after the swallow.
2012 vintage.

Holy shit I never reviewed this beer? I drank it fresh and stuff, wasn't super impressed, but then I came into contact w some hella old bottles, drank great, traded dude for the rest of his stash. Anyhoo, one of the brettiest beers I've ever had. Marketing tug job of "continuously evolving" is absolutely true. Consumed October 2021.
Pours an amber to dark orange color, 1/2" off white head, good retention. The aroma was all encompassing, brett notes of fruityness and leather. Very light Belgo yeast presence. Light orange/citrus note. Cool. What a brett ass nose, done so well.
Taste drinks so much lighter than its appearance, there is this breezy light malt mouth feel, but a plethora of citrus and berry like notes entertaining the palate solely based off of the brett development. Its been an amazing journey and this really is one of the best expressions of brett I've ever come across. Even the horseblanket seems to provide maximum warmth with the lowest weight threshold possible.
Trade me all of your dusty Rayon Vert bottles.

From old, undated notes.
Murky bright orange color.
Huge bright white head (careful pouring!); strong lacing.
Orange, banana & clove in the nose; effervescent.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Nice citrus hops in the taste; banana clove belgian yeast as well.
A nice sipper; I could see this tasting great on a hot summer day.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip
A: Hazy amber, two-finger head
S: Brett, sour cherry, wheat, Belgian yeast
T: Quite funky/Bretty with some cherry/malt towards the finish
M: Medium-bodied, funky
O: Unique especially at this age. I’m not sure I’d drink it again, but I’d recommend trying it

From notes 11/6/12: Pours a hazy amber orange producing a huge, to the point of being difficult to pour, finely bubbled and foamy, lasting, egg shell white head that leave a nice coating of chunky lace. Aroma is tart lemon/lime citrus, Brett musty funk, earth and hay, resinous hops. Taste is Brett mustiness, earth, citric and pine hops, carbonation heavy peppery bite and band-aide phenolic. At first I didn't like this combination of hops and Brett but after waiting a few days for a slow, contemplative drink of a second bottle I think this could grow on me. More later.... With the third bottle I am developing a fondness and appreciation for this. Upon deep analysis I am becoming a fan. (Note: Too bad Green Flash abandoned this. I've not found anything to replace its uniqueness!)

This is Green Flash's most rated beer ever to be retired.
I am reducing my rating in this review because it really does have too many bitter hops for foods that customarily go with Belgian foods. But I also could have had Rayon Vert with spicy food... if I was thinking far enough in advance.
On the positives: a persistent foam, enough fruity and herbal aromas to intrigue... and a really soft mouth.
At any rate, it is now a moot point.
