Not my kind of beer, but have been looking forward to trying this. I knew from the beginning I wouldn't be knocking it down even if I didn't like it. If I didn't like it I would not have given it a review.
Poured a dark golden brown with a white head that lingered for a bit. Sweet sugar, maple, orange peel, and slight citrus danced in the glass. Floral aroma hit the nose from the get-go. Sweetened up a bit-slightly hoppy. Very little note of hop, but it was there. I enjoyed it. Worth the case. When in San Diego visit Green Flash.

12 oz. bottle into Duvel tulip
This BPA poured a nice, deep golden color with a good three-finger high head along with great head retention and lacing along the edges of the glass. The smell is a tad on the funkier side with herbal, resinous notes. The taste does not entirely reflect the smell however-- this BPA is hop forward with citrus/herbal/resinous notes that fades rather quickly. This one is well carbonated with a good mouthfeel. Overall, it's a solid beer that's quite refreshing in this warm, California weather!

Drank from a refrigerator chilled bottle poured into a tulip.
The color was a nice bronze-orange/peach with a good looking head that slowly dissipated over time.
Aromas hinted at candied grapefruit and pepper. Also smelled a bit like a medicine cabinet and funky glue.
The taste consisted of a spicy peppery kick. Was about a medium on a hoppiness scale. Aftertaste was that of potpourri and first-aid kit... or what I would imagine those to taste like. Definitely funky.
This was refreshing for sure. The bitter flavors hang around a bit with the light body of the beer.
Wasn't a bad drink, wasn't the best. Will definitely try another in the next week or so to see if brett will transform the complexity of the flavors.

Bottle poured into a Spiegelau snifter.
A: Golden amber with a 3/4" fluffy white head. Nice lacing.
S: Brett/bready yeast, light strawberry, lemon rind, light band-aid, light stone fruit hop aroma, lightly floral. Very nice.
T: Citrus hops, bready yeast, light band-aid, a tad of brett funk, flower petal (floral) ass end. Not too bad, but the nose is the key player for this right now.
M: Medium/light body, nice crisp carbonation. Clean and refreshing.
D: Not my favorite BPA, but a nice offering. I am looking forward to drinking this every couple of weeks over the next couple of months or so to see how the brett evolves this.

Poured from a bottle on the release day. Taster glass.
A: Pours a dark yellow with one finger head. Some lacing and good head retention.
S: Smells pretty hoppy for a Belgian. Good piny and citrusy notes, and some clearly funky brett bubbling up underneath. Quite a complex aroma, not bad at all.
T: Taste follows the nose quite closely. Tastes like a nice, hoppy American pale ale with a good amount of brett. Some lemony flavors and some other various citrus fruit round out the finish. However, this one is nice and hoppy all the way through with some pleasant funk and a touch of sour. Some people had mentioned some band aid flavors, but I wasn't catching too much of that.
M: Medium carbonation and medium body. Nice, but nothing to write home about.
O: Overall an interesting beer that I think will change drastically as the brett has a chance to do it's thing. I love the hopped up attitude it had fresh, but will probably age gracefully.
