Thanks to johndoe8 for this one. Poured into a tulip.
Appearance. hazy rose tinted amber in color. Pours with 4 fingers of head which slowly dissipates leaving a huge amount of sticky lace.
Smell. Split between floral and slightly herbaceous aromas and sour cherry. Joining this is a tangerine like citrus aroma. You can really just smell this one forever and inhabit it.
Taste. Starts out with a bitter citrus hop presence, with the tangerine noted in the aroma. The bitterness builds to take over for a bit. Huge floral flavors take over after a bit, and are accompanied by a slightly piney, resinous bitterness that is cloying at points. The finish is filled with the floral notes again, but more towards the yeast side than the hop side.
Mouthfeel. Huge amount of carbonation. This really allows those floral notes to dance on the palate.
I am really baffled that this one is not rated higher. This may be one of the better efforts I have had in the belgian IPA category. I absolutely love the aroma on this one. I can just smell it forever.

Wow
Way to knock this outta the park. I thought an IPA couldn't make a guy blush but this is a winner. If only it poured a subtle pinkish hue....

Arrives a dark honey/amber color with a decent light tan head. Retention isn't a strong point, dissipating to nothing in about a minute.
Smell, once warmed a bit, is quite good. Well balanced mix of lightly roasted malt, hops, some light fruits, grass.
Taste is spot on to the nasal promise. Lightly roasted malts, grass, hops, light fruits (grape, apple). Well balanced, like an English style Pale Ale.
Body seems heavier at first but is really medium-light. Effervescence is nicely restrained. Grass lingers.
