2012 bomber bottled on Dec eighteenth.
A: Pours a deep golden amberish color, with nice 2 finger head. Retains head well with wonderful lacing on the glass.
S: Citrus pine hops, some earthy tones round out the aroma. Fairly straight forward aroma, HOPS. Slight malt overhang as well.
T: Pine is first flavor that hits. Hops in the face, carmel malts coming in. Big citrus/piney hops dominates this taste. Some dankness for the finish.
M: Thick, medium to heavy bodied. Tons of carbonation, bitter dry finish. Really just dries the palate in anticipation of the next sip. Sticky coating to the mouth as it finishes.
O: Excellent beer, not as good as I remembered last year's batch being however. Rather simple hop bomb beer, that's influenced by the West Coast style, but has enough malt backbone to make East Coast IPA fans happy.

Shared 12 fl. oz. bottle, kindly provided by abemorsten. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy orange colour, large white head. Strong aroma of orange marmalade and fruity and resinous American hops. The flavour is indeed a "palate wrecker" - that is why this beer was chosen as the last beer of the evening at our tasting. Extremely hoppy flavour, but still, in its own weird way, fairly "well balanced" - mainly because the malty sweetness seems just right. to stand up to the hoppiness. Grapefruit, resin / pine and spruce. Yes, it is a "typically American double IPA", and I’ve "seen it before"- but still: Oh so GOOD! Halleluja!

From old, undated notes. Poured from the bottle.
Bright orange color.
Small white head; no lacing.
Smells strongly of high grade marijuana.
Medium mouthfeel, bordering on thick.
Taste is of grapefruit and great ganja. Booze is present but not overpowering.
A delicious beer.

Good solid imperial IPA. Not up there with the best, but nice and solid. In tap at Industry Public House on Leah's b-day weekend in Pittsburgh! Good ending for lunch!
Add: 7/29/20. Trip home from Lancaster after Joy and Andy's wedding. Yes.... It's a palate wrecker!
