A - very hazy, neat orange colour, nice white cap, lots of lacing

S - big clean hoppy nose, very classic, with that lovely malt aroma backing it up, more sweet grapefruit and tropical/citrus than piney, really good

T - juicy sweet tropical hop blast greets the tongue, very fine malt backbone gives it a hint of caramel, aftertaste is bitter with tons of grapefruit and pine notes with lots of alcohol (that tastes good actually).

M - medium body, slightly oily, puckering resin, very dry finish from the hop bitterness, warming alcohol

D - it doesn't get much better than this

Wow, what a roller coaster ride. Insane hopping, yet somehow exceptionally balanced. Lots of malt and sweetness, yet it's not at all heavy or cloying. I love tropical hop aroma/flavour, but I also really like biting piney hop bitterness, and this beer has both, which you don't often find. I shared a bottle of this about a year ago at a tasting and absolutely loved it... boy am I happy to finally have a bottle all to myself. Perhaps the best IIPA I've tasted.

pours with a very thick head- its a golden, buttery color. the smell is very hoppy, pine citrus. the taste is more bitter, and bold than citrus. this is a good solid ipa. i would like a little more citrus- but i am really reaching out on a limb here to find anything wrong with this beer. this is the third beer from green flash that i have had and theyve all been pretty good... this just makes want to try other beers from them.
