Visited with my wife on a recent trip to Florida.

Tried the following beers:
Funky Buddha Last Snow Porter (draft)
Mikkeller San Diego Hver Anden Uge (draft)

Both were drinking great. Tap and bottle selections were top notch, especially for the area. Patrons were friendly, and service was very good at the bar. We also liked the dark, low-key vibe in here. Our overall experience was fantastic, and we would certainly come back.

Really nice tap list, with a wide variety of styles and a large number of handles. The quality of the selection is certainly nothing to sniff at, either, with plenty of local craft options, national powerhouses, and even a small handful of rarities.

There is a fairly nice bottle selection as well, although nothing particularly rare. This spot is absolutely worth a visit to get your craft fix!

No food, if that influences your choice, although they let you bring in food, and some places will deliver.

House 4 Beer closed its door because of Covid-19.

For a small operation that has to compete there is simply NO COMPETITION in the area. One of the best tap lists around day after day, week after week. H4B works the distributors hard to get beers for their customers that makes us want to come back and come back. If you are in the area this is a must for any person who likes great beers. Their staff is amazing and KNOW the beers they sell. They can, and do, help just about anyone with good choices to try. TRUST THEM they can put a beer in front of you that you will like, if not love.

SAD TO SAY THAT H4B IS NO LONGER. IT DIDN’T MAKE IT WITH COVID-19.

Nice beer bar at the Port Orange Pavilion. They have about 50 taps with a wide variety of offerings. About 10-20 are dedicated to local beers which is great. Ample bottle selection as well although have only had drafts. There are several large televisions that play sporting events. The bartenders are all very nice and knowledgable. They do have game nights so if you don't like a loud crowd check when they are to avoid them.

Three things that set H4B apart:
- A great selection of local Florida beers offered at $3.75 during happy hour and more local, casual feel than World of Beer .
- beer trades. This is one of the few places that will let you trade beer. If you have a rare beer to trade, be sure to bring it.
-Patrick. Pat represented the kind of informed beer tender you want to have at a craft beer bar. Helpful to the novice and the experienced beer fan.

Been to this place three times now but yesterday's visit was by far the best. I finally noticed that they have an amazing "for trade" cooler - be sure to bring some goodies if you're traveling. The selection is real solid - about 40 taps and tons of bottles with the focus on Florida locals. Very rare locals as well, such as Funky Buddha and rarer CCB offerings.

They don't have food, but you can order from any of the local restaurants easily and they will deliver. I have not done this, but my parents have and have enjoyed it. The atmosphere is good for a craft beer bar, I've never been when it's crowded (I assume it must get busy) but it is still a nice spot to relax with a couple quality beers.

The best part of this place is the service. My suggestion is to ask for Patrick - I could talk to that guy for hours. He knows his stuff as well as any bartender I've encountered and will be happy to trade with you. He will steer you in the right direction if you're unsure of what you'd like.

Overall, I wish I lived in the area because this place is great. Definitely go here over the World of Beer in Port Orange because the atmosphere, prices, and selection are definitely superior.

Everyone that works at H4B is extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. If you don't drink beer and want to start somewhere, these guys will take time to work with you and find something that you would like. I went there once and now i am hooked. They also have 4 cooler doors designated for nothing but trade. You can bring in a beer that you are looking to trade and they leave their collections there of stuff that is extremely hard or rare to find and will trade you if they would like. These guys are great i truly recommend you take the time to go check out their establishment. Cheers

Im glad to see Port Orange adding more beer stops to the list. House for beer is situated in the pavillion just down from the movie theatre. Atmosphere is clean, friendly, and right in the middle of the action. You can sit inside and watch football, or sit on the patio and people watch.
Certain employees are quite knowledgable in the craft beers. They offer free samples, and great suggestions.
Selection is about at as good as it gets for Volusia county. About 35 taps and 150 or so different bottles from all over america and many foreign countries.
They do not serve their own food here, but you can order from a good sized list of local restaurants and have them deliver right to your table.
Overall, I would say this is a great place to stop in and have a few brewskis with your friends and family. A much needed addition to the area.

Atmosphere: very small inside. its new though, which saves it from looking like a hole in the wall. pretty bland. gets crowded easily on the weekends

Service: enthusiastic in general but not exactly knowledgeable about beer. its as if they have a general overview of their selection, but don't actually know about beer from experience.

Selection: okay. they have all the beers that are easily obtained in the area plus an occasional exciting find on tap.

Bottom Line: World of Beer is down the road. it has a MUCH better selection and the inside is much nicer and larger. Just skip this place and go there.

This place is in an outdoor plaza and is a very convenient place to go to after going to one of the great restaurants right next to it. When I was there the lighting was too bright for a bar. But I was with a good friend and had a lot of fun. Beer selection was very good. About 50 good craft beers on tap and tons of bottles to choose from. No food is served here but you can bring in from the places around. It was a bit pricey but that seems to be par for the area that it was located. I would go back again if I was in the area and wanted a tasty brew!

Two friends and I went to the House for Beer last night (Dec 1, 2011) for the first time. This is an unusual business. They do not serve food but instead have menus for all of the restaurants in the local area. You just call for delivery and they bring the food to House for Beer. There were at least 6 restaurants to choose from.
Back to the beer. Outstanding selection of taps (around 50) and bottles (hundreds?); almost all of it craft brew. No BMC here. We had Franzikaner Hefeweizen, Highland Kasmir IPA, Highland Oatmeal Porter, Widmer Hefeweizen, Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA, Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot, Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA, Delirium Noel, St. Bernardus Christmas, Winter Solstice, Blue Point Winter but couldn't even put a dent in their selection.
Service was exceptional and the staff really know their beer.
There was a minimal wine list for non-beer drinkers but I didn't see anyone with anything but beer.
Prices seemed perhaps a little high but not outrageous.
Excellent beer bar - check it out.
