It's always a bummer to get local beers as part of a Beer of the Month Club shipment. =(

Appearance: Copper-orange in color, with tiny white sudsy bubbles comprising a thin head.

Smell: The scent is fairly tender, even after giving it some time to warm up and awaken. Still, though, there's a delicate aroma of light fruits (orange zest), bread, and honey.

Taste: Citrus hop flavor is low and nicely balanced with a modest amount of sweet malt flavor. A gentle grassy hop bitterness provides for a nice finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation (almost spritzy at times). Though it's a simple, mild beer, it is still crisp and pleasantly refreshing.

Drinkability: A good choice for a local session beer, and quite pleasant on a rather warm late-Winter day.

So, that's it. Another beer from Georgia.

And now, time to go back to... work.

Ugh.

On tap into pint glass

A: copper in color, translucent, 1/2 finger of head which quickly dissipates to nothing, leaves effectively no lacing

S: very mild aroma, some hop spice and malt sweetness, not a lot going on here

T: again pretty mild. Caramel and pale malts, faint citrus with some lemon notes, some spicy rye like notes, very little hop characters

M/D: lighter body, carbonation on the heavier side, moderate drink ability

O: pretty disappointing, not sure if this an old keg or what but there are almost no hop characters in this one. It's not a bad beer, but its no better than average. That being said I find myself drinking this fairly often as its often times the one craft beer among an otherwise B/M/C lineup at many restaurants / bars here in the south east

Serving type: on-tap
