Served on tap into a pint glass at the Mellow Mushroom, Marietta, GA
A: Standard gold color, clear body, one finger foamy head that lasted a while, lots of persistent lacing
S: mild blueberries
T: Tasted like blueberries but not overly so. Some hops but not strong. Aftertaste a bit bitter.
M: Really good feel; carbonation is mild and right for the beer.
O: good summer fruit beer

A: thin white head on a clear pale golden body.
S: completely blueberry pie and little else.
T: again this is mostly blueberry. Some hint of breads and wheat.
M: light body and medium to high carbonation.
Overall: certainly drinkable and refreshing. Not a fan of the genre especially when all that is represented is the fruit.

Had on tap at the brewery.
Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin head.
Smells strongly of blueberry pancakes. No hops at all and not really any malt either.
Blueberry all the way up front in the taste but this quickly transitions to a moderate grainyness. A quick light bitterness cleanses the palate to finish. Mouthfeel is quite watery.
While I am not really a fan of fruit beers and this one is no different, I must say it goes down like water and would be wonderful on a hot day.

on-tap at Fat Frogg, 16oz tumbler
Appearance is a clear dark golden color that features a very small white head that completely disappears about halfway through. No lacing at all, very boring appearance. Smell is cooked (baked) blueberries with a hint of pale malt in the back. Taste is of sweet and bready blueberries, again the blueberries come off as cooked. Not a bad taste, the blueberries come out nice and strong, no hops detected. Mouthfeel is medium light and medium low carb, very mellow.
This is much better than I thought it would be and better than the other fruit beer I have had (#9). Ultimately this beer is a bit too sweet and could use a hint of hops to help the finish and make it taste more like a beer. The taste is most akin to a blueberry cobbler, definitely not fresh blueberries.

Enjoyed on-tap @ the Mellow Mushroom in Asheville, NC for $4. Tapped from an unknown tap handle (ordered from table) & received in a 16oz Pint Glass.
Aroma- The aroma is made up of fake blueberries (either in a smoothie or oatmeal. Blended.). Has a ton of wheat and grain in the nose as well.
Appearance- Received with a less than .5 finger head and dies immediately after the first sip. Has a golden colored body that is clear. Leaves suds behind.
Flavor- Very appropriate wheat taste but then what? Smooth and a dry finish. Makes me want to drink one of SweetWater's "bigger" brews.
Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, Light-Medium Carbonation, and has an extreme wheaty finish.
Overall Impression- Hearing it was a brew with blueberries within, thought it would be refreshing and worth it. It was, just nothing I would drink back to back. Enjoyed once and will check it off my list. Wouldn't go out of my way for it and like I said, MANY more brews from SweetWater that will keep your standards high!

Sweetwater Blue is a crisp and tasty desert beer. Very few places keep this beer on tap, but it is a must after a full round of wings or seafood. The blueberry taste is natural and crisp. Not artificial in any way. Blueberry is an easy fruit to fake, but Sweetwater keeps it real with natural blueberries.
This beer smells and tastes like an orchard of freshly picked berries. I am not a fan of fruit flavored beers, but this one is natural and pure and doesn't taste fake.
Try this if you are looking for a good desert beer that won't send your palette into confusion.

On tap into a pint glass at the Flying Saucer in Columbia.
Appearance - Clear pale straw body. Looks liek a flat bud light.
Smell - Strong like blueberries. Nothing else.
Taste - Mild corny malt. Mostly tasteless. Mild astringency. Bland. Not offensive; just water.
Mouthfeel - Flat as shit. Watery. Metallic.
Overall Drinkability - Single worst fruit beer I've ever had.

Big blueberry smell. A little in the taste. It's a light golden color with a little head. Not much retention. It's one of those summer beers that I sometimes just need to grab when it gets a little warm out. Overall, it's hard to really get down on this beer. It is what it says it is. It's pretty well done and doesn't have the too much of a sweet syrupy taste to it.

On tap at the Filling Station here in G-boro.Poured a very light slightly hazed golden with a 1/2 finger white head atop.Aromas are mainly toasty cereal grains with a light smattering of blueberry.Toasted flavors and very light sweetness, the bluberry is light and in the finish.Well I gues if you are lookin for a no brainer with a hint of fruit this would be for you,not me.

Review from notes.
Had on tap in a pint glass at the Blue Heron in Clemson, South Carolina. There was no description on the menu so who knows what I'm getting with this?
Look: clear, golden body with a thin layer of white foam at the top. Not a whole lot of retention and not a whole lot of lacing, either.
Smell: a little bit of blueberry, some grain, and some floral hops.
Taste: follows the nose with a little blueberry taste, some bready, pale malt, and some flowery taste as well.
Feel: medium to light in body, crisp carbonation, fairly refreshing, and a little sweet without being cloying. Easy drinking even if its not my cup of tea.
Overall: not really a fan of fruity beers like this one so this didn't really do it for me. I guess I should've known that something called Blue would've been blueberry in nature. I could see this being a decent crossover beer but nothing extraordinary. Cheers.

Enjoyed on tap at Hunahpu's Day 2011.
After having four complex and delicious brews, I needed something a little less complex and more refreshing. This hit the spot. It's a nice golden colour and leaves some nice lacing on the side of the glass. The smell is very nice, there's a substantial blueberry presence with a bit of wheat and citrus to back it up. Lots of blueberry though. The taste follows through on the nose. Blueberry, blueberry, blueberry. They're fairly realistic, although could be tarter. The wheat and citrus are a solid backbone. It almost ticks all the right boxes, just is a little bit off in terms of how the blueberries taste. More tartness would really set this one off for me, but as of now it's a pretty good brew.
This brew is crisply carbonated and very light bodied. The drinkability is this beer's strong point, the blueberries just narrowly avoid being cloying. Not the best fruit beer I've had, but it was still pretty good. Would be a reliable choice if we got this on a regular basis in Tampa.

Got the big 22oz mug of this brew. Not a very big head, about a finger. Some broken lace, but good cling. Looks to be about a 6 on the SRM chart, but I don't have the chart with me, so I may be wrong. Smell of blueberries, raspberries, some honey, and wheat. Taste is overwhelmingly blueberries, with a touch of raspberry, and malt. Just sort of sickening sweet, lacking any tang, and crispness. Some body and creaminess in my mouth. Just to sweet and fruity for my palate.

A - thick white head with good head retention; light color; very good crisp clarity
S - strong blueberry aroma; smells like wild fruit as apposed to artificial flavourings which is a very good thing; gives the aroma an almost feral quality that you don't expect in such a crisp, light beer
T - the primary flavor is a strong taste of fresh blueberries; at first this fruity taste is a little too sweet, but it is soon balanced by a hoppy bitterness which cuts through the sweetness and balances the flavor profile perfectly; the surprising thing about this beer is the fact that the blueberry taste does not at all overpower the beer; it manages to balance the sweetness of the blueberries with the bitterness of the hops perfectly
M - high level of carbonation; a little rough on the tongue for a beer with such a delicate flavor profile; when the fizziness subsides the beer has a very syrupy body which is to be expected from a fruity ale; perhaps is a little too syrupy for such a crisp, light beer; overall the mouthfeel is not unpleasant, it just seems to take something away from the blueberry flavor
D - Give me more.
I absolutely bloody love this beer.

A- A golden orange that has about a one finger head that leaves little lacing around the glass as you drink
S-All blueberries to me, slight hint of some citrus hops but nothing crazy
T-This beer taste like blueberry water with lots of carbonation.
M-Light beer, lots of carbonation.
D-Not a beer for me, to fruity in my eyes. Definitely a good beer if you like blueberries though.

On tap at the Atlanta airport brewpub location.
Standard golden color. Fair amount of head. Lots of lacing.
Muted nose. Faint blueberry, a little sour fermented note. As it warms, the nose is still never very potent.
Sweet grains initially fade into a huge (but not bad) blueberry extract wave. Not overly sweet, but pretty omnipresent.
Like blueberry flavor? That's really what this brew comes down to.
Goes down like water and I don't really mind this one at all. For what it is, not too bad.

This beer pours an unremarkable clear gold with no dissernable head. As with most fruity beers the aroma is great malty with a hint of blueberries. The taste is light, almost watery, with a hint of malt and faint blueberries. Good carbonation but an average fruit beer at best.

Pours a deep golden with a 1-finger white head that quickly disappears. Minimal lacing.
The smell is strong of sweet blueberries along with some wheat. The taste is sickeningly sweet. The blueberries are all sweet & no tart/sourness. Mouthfeel is crisp, not too carbonated.
This is a too sweet to be sessionable. Reminds me a lot of a sweeter Blue Moon.

On draft at Innisfree Pub.
Pale yellow beer with a tiny head, not much lacing, and some suspended bubbles.
Smell is like a pale blonde ale mix with just a hint of blueberry aroma.
Taste is just like the aroma -- slight bit of malt and hint of hops mixed with some blueberry extract flavor. Clearly all the flavor is extract derived, no realk blueberries in here -- this is a pale blonde ale.
This is a great lawnmower beer, perfect for a hot Southern day. It's a great alternative for BMC drinkers in the South where there are lots of BMC drinkers, but it's rater unsatisfying on an early November evening. It is an easy to drink beer though & in spite of its foibles, I was ready for another when the first was finished.

Served on-tap at The Pizza Joint in Evans, GA. Presented in a George Killian's Irish Red pint glass.
Nicely clear golden amber hue with a thin whispy head that leaves virtually no lace on the glass. Undoubtedly this was due to the pourer's lack of care than to the beer's lack of head-retaining virtues, but nothing's certain.
Nose is nice and pleasant, with a wonderful aroma of fresh blueberries laid over a layer of mildly earthy hops.
Quite light in body, even perhaps a bit watery, with a mild-to-moderate carbonation. Pale ale characteristics introduce themselves to the palate first, with lightly biscuity malts and a slight hop bitterness with lightly grassy and earthy hop flavor, mashing together toward the back with just a light brushing of sweet blueberry and finishing a little dry with a bit of lingering hop bitterness.
Balanced and easy-drinking, with a blueberry character that is complementary rather than dominating, which is just the way things should be. A nice beer for more novice drinkers, with no outlandish characteristics battering the palate or vying for dominance. Quite a nice fruit beer, but one that could do with more body.

On-tap: 4.9 ABV, per the sign at Sweetwater Draft House & Grill in Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport, Terminal B:
Appears a golden, clear, thin white head that was not retained.
Light malty aroma with a very light hint of the blueberry.
Taste is similar to the aroma with slight blueberry taste, but very light.
The beer has a light body, smooth and decent drinkability. Felt like it was a little over carbonated. Overall, less than average beer. I doubt that I would ever order this beer again.

I had this one on tap at the Broadway Brewhouse in Nashville the other day. From my notes:
A= This ale poured a faintly cloudy straw yellow with a thin white head. The head dropped to zero in short order and left zero lacing.
S= This beer was full of bready malt and sweet blueberry aromas. The berry smell was somehow strong but not overpowering. Some mild sulfur in the end of each sniff.
T= What can I say, it tasted like an American wheat beer with a crap load of blueberry muffin sprinkled into it. The sweetness was almost too much, but it stopped short of being cloying.
MF= Light side of medium bodied for sure, with a moderately crisp mouthfeel.
D= A pleasant surprise for sure. Though its sort of a one trick pony, and I wouldn't want more than 1 or 2 in a day, this is pretty solid for a fruit flavored wheat beer!

A: Clear orange/yellow.
S: Very light sugar and fruit aroma.

On tap at the brewery, served in a clean, clear glass pint.
A A reasonably clear yellowish pilsner appearance with a one finger head which dissipated in about 60 seconds.
S blueberries for sure with some mild hops.
T Blueberries again with those hops and a bit of malt. Pleasing, especially if you like fruitty beers.
M Light for sure.
D Good to better than good. I could have several of these in an evening.
Notes: It was really successful in being a blueberry beer but I am not a big fan of fruitty beers.
